Roger Byrne, the càptain.

Another who died at Munich, I think he was the oldest, but still under thirty.
He was fast, a good tackler to my eyes, and occasionally went forward, he was an ever present under Matt which says it all.
But he was more important as the captain, he looked the part, like a sergeant, looked older than the others. What he said went, he pointed where they needed to be, told them also, and he was respected. How we could do with him now. Naturally he wasn't a hero to me, but he should have been.

I read Matt only liked a defender as captain as the game was Infront of them.

My neighbour liked him and was always on at me when he did something good. He never gets mentioned nowadays and he should be.
He was quite like Gary Neville, about the same height, but a bit faster I think.
