The reason we start with the same 11 game in game out is because the so called strength in depth is a myth, other than Gnonto, who do we change up to?

I agree - we haven’t got strength in depth but when you’re not looking like scoring, any change is surely good.

Why not?

I've lost count how many times we hear commentary like 'It's his first goal for the club' (Thomas) or 'He hadn't scored for 4 years' etc etc - So Leeds it's unreal.

The defending from Struijk and Archie for their goal would have been laughable if not being so consequential.

Rutter needs to learn when to keep it simple - Being Cruyffesque is one thing, making the correct decision at the end of it is another.

Worried that midfield are looking a bit jaded

My excuse is, I was out for a few drinks 🤦

I just think the role of a striker has changed over last 20 years, and the attributes to play up top, he’s not good enough at enough of them. People might disgree.

1. Can he finish ? YES
2. Is he quick ? NO
3. Can he work the channels ? No
4. Is strong ? No
5. Can he hold the ball up ? No
6. Is he good in the air ? Can score with his head, but wont win anything in the air
7. has he good movement ? Yes

I get the urge to try him, I do, just dont think he’d be success 👍

Well, 1 point in the last 6 is certainly not gonna get us into the autos. We were all hoping that Leicester and/or Ipswich hit a patch of bad form - and it’s turned out that we’re the ones to croak. I’m actually not too surprised/upset as I was one of the people on here that said (after our poor start to the season) that we were then looking at play-offs. Obvs, I had no idea (then) how the top 2 would run away with it, but that prediction is turning out to be about right. I still think we’ll win the play-offs btw.

Think we need a new striker. Farke's Norwich were built around the goals of Pukki but we haven't got anyone like that. Farke says he knows a thing of two about a striker. I like Rutter a lot but hes not a natural 9 and hes not going to get you 20+ goals. I see him as more of a 10 or even a winger?

You’re there, hence respect your opinion on it.

I would like to see him up too but feel club feel obliged to play Rutter there due to price tag.

This all seems to happen for the same time every season for the last three years -- we play very well with what looks like a really "together" and technically good team and dominate teams for half a season.

Then some lower-level team figures out how to "low block" us and hit us on the break and every other team (except the better ones) follow the formula to good effect.

We never seem to have a good "plan B" and we definitely haven't got the benefit of having a special player who can produce a bit of brilliance out of nowhere (with the tentative exception perhaps of Summerville).

We need a wildcard similar to the likes of Harrison, Alioski, Howson, Hernandez etc. who could turn a game against the low block with a bit of brilliance.

On paper we set up with Rutter as a striker, but on the field it’s like we play with two number 10’s.

We sign alot og players without any real plan of how we going to use them 🤷🏻‍♂️
