Not surprising really after taking them from 6th to 20th!
Perhaps he's not cut out to be a manager just yet and would benefit from a coaching role somewhere...

He’s been shiiiit at all of his jobs tbh, no idea why the guy thinks he’s got it in him to be a good manager

He actually did well at Derby considering what went on there. They would not have gone down if they had not been deducted all those points.
He should have stayed there.

He should join our club on some sort of level. He's the last player we had that I remember wasn't a facking mentally weak mug.

Granted this was mainly due to him not having the intelligence to process the situations he was in at the time!

Classic example of a clueless board/owner wanting a 'name ex player' over a candidate that was actually qualified for the job. Rooney should've stuck with Derby and earned his stripes. Just like Fat Frank and Slippy G for us, Neville at Valencia, Henry......
Stick to punditry. At least vanilla boy Redknapp hasn't embarrassed himself in a coaching role yet, he's bad enough as an aging housewives favourite pundit as it is.
As a Villa fan I believe Rooney was doing a fabulous job🤣

To be fair, he was decent when his job was being a footballer

Been a disaster for him at Birmingham. Not sure where he goes next? I suppose a lower league club will want him because of the name.

He did a pretty good job at Derby

He almost pulled off a miracle at Derby, so he can’t be all bad.
I do think he seems more suited to a coaching role. I’d imagine he’d be a good foil between a manager and the players.

Yeah Derby he did really well
