Guinea-Bissau lost today and are out of the African cup of nations. They play their last game on Monday so Mendes Gomes (6th choice out of 6?) should be back in the squad for the Carlisle game.

It's very cold here, yesterday's frost never shifted and if anything it's even colder today. Not forecast to get much warmer until Sunday. Temperature supposed to creep up tomorrow but I suspect the ground is frozen too deep to make much difference in time for kick-off.
The club website says this is a precautionary inspection to see whether another inspection is needed tomorrow morning. I have no knowledge of the science of groundkeeping, but I would have thought today's inspection will conclude that it's very cold and the pitch is frozen, it'll probably bend the fork.
I don't think there's going to be any game tomorrow and I would expect that to be decided today.

The say they've been protecting the surface all week with a frost cover, but my garden 8 miles away as the crow flies is frozen solid and the 4" deep bird bath was one big piece of ice.

So, now Evatt seems to be waking up to the fact that a couple of new signings may be on the cards if we can secure them.
Whatever happens, I would like the club to make a couple of signings if we can get the players that will make a difference to our good chance of being promoted to an almost nailed-on possibility.
I live in hope.
