Name The Leader/s????

As we've all seen time and again since we first begun watching football. Every single title winning side has had it's "Leaders" Those players who lead the team vocally as well as by playing example. The Paddy, Keano, Kompany etc. They're captains obviously but this quality is in more than just the captain on a championship winning team. Under Wenger AFC was repeatedly criticised for that lack of leadership element/quality right along with missing the marquis striker.

I have another article to follow this one dependent on answers to the title question. For now I would just like to ask my fellow gooners to "Name the leaders" in this current Arsenal team. And to bare in mind the leadership I mean isn't by playing great. Eg I'm sure some would say Saka as he plays so well "leads by example." That's not what I mean, I mean which players when things aren't purring nicely, verbally rally and "Paddy/Keano" the moment to make players buck up their ideas and get that result.

You can't win a title without that player so who is/are Arsenal's these days?

Maybe Rice, in time? Maybe harder to assert yourself at a club in your debut season.

Ramsdale and Rice. We have a few others too, they may not be particularly vocal though.

How would having a nobleman up top help your quest for the title?

We dont have proper leaders.
Only Ringleaders

Yeah but who is leader in other clubs? I feel there is less and less leaders nowdays.

Ramsdale the guy who confessed to only being able to concentrate in 15min periods on a podcast ffs.

If he's a leader you're doomed.

Doesn't mean he's not a good leader on the pitch. A bit naïve perhaps but whatever his issues with concentration we never saw that effect performances.

He'd let in goals he should save, miss place passes etc but it never seemed down to a lack of concentration. Maybe his method of constantly engaging with fans and defenders really does work for him.

To me he positively influences the side through leadership/marshalling from the back.

Rice, Odegaard and to an extent Gabriel.
Vieira wasn't exactly the biggest talker himself, by all accounts, and did let the team down more than once with lack of discipline.

The days of Tony Adams style captains are probably gone for good.

Rice surely your leader?

Wholeheartedly agree with everyone saying Ramsdale. Imo he is this Arsenal side's "Talismanic Leader," so to speak. Hence we're already stuffed this season thanks to the clown at the top.

Also agree that Rice shows the signs of becoming that player at the moment.

To those saying fewer sides have them these days I say true but the title winning side always has one. Kinda makes it easy to see how Pool and City have run the title races the last 5-10 years.
