they didn't contradict something right though, he said that he isn't a RB, which he isn't. the fact he's played as a RB doesn't make him one. vertonghen played as a LB plenty but nobody would call him a LB.

and not all RBs are the same, the fact he's played as a defensive RB a bit in Italy doesn't mean it's sensible to predict that he'll start games at RB for us when our RBs have to go into midfield and be creative in the final third.
