If I was a player who had to choose between winning the wc or the pl, the pl is about a million miles behind the WC

GS doesn't need to think about it because he's never winning the world cup without changing nationality.

I think these lot will still be stellar world class players if they played today. If you ask me from what I’ve seen of Souness would he be world class today, my answer is no!! Pogba claimed he didn't know who Souness was. Souness slapped that stupid comment down with a put your medals on the table comment, highlighting he'd won far more medals than Pogba.

Souness would be an excellent player today. Excelled in both attack and defence. Just because he was a tough tackler, doesn't mean he wouldn't work. You play to the rules at the time. To describe him as a thug is ridiculous. He was also a technically excellent midfielder.

Although I did not agree with him, Ferguson named 7 players as world class as he believes world class means you can play in any era.
