Why this is so important to us

Last season Leicester, Leeds and Southampton came down.

This season Leicester, Leeds and Southampton right in mix for two auto spots and playoffs.

yes Ipswich have crashed the party and nothing but full credit to them.

But my point is relegated sides almost always bounce back into promotion contention.

If we don't go up this season and still have to address 190m of monies owed for stupid transfers and have this stupid loanee situation and see good players sold we are going to find it so much harder next season with 3 newly relegated sides probably all going for promotion again.

This is a one shot chance for us I feel, as circumstances might dictate a longer spell down here if we dont go up.

I would like to think Farke could build, but finances might not allow that and we really don't know what owners will do and how much stomach they have for investment and the long game.

The phrase all or nothing is very overused, but it feels that way for us right now.

A lot of over emotion over the last few days which is understandable. Hopefully worst case scenario happens we will still be able to hang on to a few and sign a few as well.

If we can go and beat Southampton and find a bit of last minute form there is no reason we cant go up via the play offs. Southampton are probably the strongest. The other clubs are nearly twenty points behind us for a reason.

One thing I do know as fact is that Marathe cannot, under any circumstances, claim to be a passenger.

This Summer's dealing whatever the league, is critical - I wish him and the other execs the best of success!

I expect Ipswich to get a point at Coventry who can't get playoffs. They'll be ahead of us going into the final game where they play already relegated Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield. Pretty confident we'll be in the playoffs and Portman Rd will have a pitch invasion Sunday afternoon.

Need Ohare to inspire Coventry once again, but I don't see them outscoring Ipswich.

While we're at it, I also have Sling and Peacock subscriptions. Those two get me access to the Prem
and all the top euro leagues. FA Cup, Champions League, and other Euro cups. Oh, and South & North American Cups like CONCACAF, and Copa America.
European Championships. And obviously, the World Cup. Qualifiers and tournaments.

And the MLS - but that's sh 1 the.

Like I said, I spend too much money - and time
watching football. Beats doing drugs. Sorta.

Let’s wait and see what happens tomorrow. Pressure is all on Ipswich and Coventry fans will want another big scalp I think.

Did anyone see the PNE v Leicester game, and did Preston look like they were giving 100%? Massive advantage for Ipswich playing their last 2 games against teams with nothing to play for.

Ipswich had to dig deep for the Hull game and deserved to win. Coventry are nowhere near as good or as motivated as Hull. They will win their next two games easily. We have had chance after chance to take second spot. Now we have to focus on the play- offs.

Agreed mate, but only ourselves to blame. It’s like when we start games 30 mins late when the opposition start wasting time when 1-0 up… only ourselves to blame.

Expecting f all from Coventry tonight. That way won’t be disappointed

I think it's obvious that the primary benefit to getting promotion this season is financial and the owners will certainly not want to miss out on £150 million plus even for a relegation campaign similar to Shef Utd but as fans it's the default position as I've said a few times on this forum to want to taste and feel the joys of victory/success wrapped up in the ultimate way of Leeds getting promoted in whatever format that comes plus It makes you feel good about yourself.

It's the hit or fix you get and want and what all football supporters crave otherwise you'd not bother following any team in the pyramid and why it's a universally held opinion the greatest game in the world.

However in the cold light of day and it's almost certain to be via the play offs barring a calamitous collapse by Ipswich which I can't see myself personally, our almost prophetic prediction. of failure on that score and another season in the Championship is a scenario however uncomfortable like rejection, we have got to expect as have the owners which probably after the Blackburn home defeat they have.

So that my friends is realistically where we are with always a fighters chance of breaking the self imposed curse of expecting Leeds to miss out when the going gets tough of actually surprising us and triumphing at Wembley but I think Farke has to revert back to the trusted 11 formation he chose at the beginning of 2024 to kick start our mini revival to have a chance of ironically getting relegated from the EPL next season.

The joys of being a Leeds fan 'ey? A bit like winning a ticket for the Titanic it feels at times but nevertheless we keep going as in life, it's full of surprises!
