Enzo vs. Gallagher

So having taken a few days to digest the decision to part with Pochettino, I think it has to have come down to this conundrum. I can't think of another half way credible reason why you'd stick with him all season, keeping your head, and then make what seems like an incredibly emotive, reckless decision when so many indicators statistically (which these owners put tremendous credence in) suggested Pochettino should have been allowed to continue.

The above video explains this well. In Enzo & Gallagher we have two outstanding, statistical outlier players who fit into diametrically opposing styles, not dissimilar to our Jorginho/Kante problem for years, and it's clear to see which of these two directions Pochettino would've gone down to elevate the team in his image. But unfortunately, and understandably I suppose, one is FAR more valuable to our owners than the other.

However, what I'm struggling to understand if this analysis is correct, is some of the names on this leaked shortlist? Amorim not being on it I can see, probably the outstanding candidate but it's the same problem, but why is Frank on it? Underwhelming as he'd be, why isn't De Zerbi on it? Maresca as a wildcard of sorts fine, but why McKenna? Why isn't Xavi a top contender? You wanna build a team around Enzo, is their a better symbolic appointment than that maybe outside of Pirlo?

And this goes back to last summer too. I didn't want him personally but if you expected this to be an issue - why in tf didn't you appoint Luis Enrique when (reportedly) he was excited & ready to take the job immediately? No need for the Lampard intervention.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings trying to find rhythm & reason in what an earth is happening in our owners heads

Enzo looks to have a higher ceiling imo, Gallagher his more of an all action type.

I think largely its an American thing, let the manager who they are going to sack see the season out.

It happens all the time in American sports (which makes sense cos tanking=good), but all the analysts/pundits who are defending Boehly's approach at the moment tend to be from the US I've found
