Cup finals, play-offs and league finales...

It is cup final Saturday. A return to the traditional 3pm for the English version, not enough to bring the "magic" back to the event - but as well as a Manchester derby final there is also an Old Firm final up in Scotland.

FA Cup Final - 3pm
City look to complete the double, United need to win to get European football next season (at the expense of Newcastle United). The Ten Hag situation is over-shadowing the day somewhat. It is a repeat of a largely forgettable 2023 final. Gundogan was the hero that day, opening the scoring within seconds of the start and getting the winner just after half time. A Bruno Fernandes equaliser from the spot had given United hope.

Scottish FA Cup Final - 3pm
Celtic are chasing the double against their Auld Firm rivals. Celtic won 3 of the 4 league games this season, with the other a 3-3 draw and are the holders. Rangers last won it in 2022. The last final between the two was 01/02, won by Rangers.

Championship Play-Off Final - Tomorrow 3pm
Leeds and Southampton face off for a chance of an immediate return to the PL. Leeds finished 3rd in the regular season, with just 3 points separating them and the Saints. Southampton won both the regular season meetings, 3-1 and 2-1. Should be a great game.

Serie A Various.
The Italian league won't come to an end until next weekend due to Atalanta's victorious run in the Europa and Fiorentina hoping to emulate them in the Conference League final this midweek - they meet June 2nd.
What we do know is Atalanta will finish top 4 if they beat Torino tomorrow. That would mean Roma will not get a sixth Italian CL place by all accounts.
The bottom of the table is where the most drama will be. Udinese go to Frosinone with both just above the relegation zone. Empoli, sitting in the relegation zone, know a home win over Roma will save them at the expense of the loser of the Frosinone game - or Udinese if it is a draw.

Eredivisie - Today 3:30pm and 7pm
Play-off semi finals second legs this weekend. Emmen and Brada are level 1-1 after the first, while Excelsior - fighting to keep their top flight place - host Den Haag with a 2-1 advantage.

Primeira Liga - Today 7:45pm (second leg 2nd June)
In Portugal it is the first leg of the promotion/relegation play-off. Portimonense are the top flight side, AVS the team trying to replace them.

Scottish Premier League - Tomorrow 12pm
Ross County face Championship side Raith Rovers with their Premiership status at risk. County have a 2-1 lead from the away leg.

La Liga - Various
Literally nothing to play for in the final weekend.

DFB Pokal Final - Tonight 7pm
After the heartbreak of finally losing a game, the Europa final to a Lookman hat-trick on Wednesday, Leverkusen have little time to re-coup and prepare for tonights German cup final. Kaiserslautern are the surprise opponents, finishing in a lowly 13th place in the German 2nd tier. Should be a routine win for the nearly all conquering Leverkusen.

German Relegation/Promotion play-off
A bit of Bank Holiday Monday action as Dusseldorf take a 3 goal advantage from their away leg to Bochum. It has been a disastrous end of the season for Bochum, and they seem sure to lose their Bundesliga place.


Also this weekend is the drive around Monaco in procession for the F1 drivers, the French Open in tennis, England hoping to actually play Pakistan in a T20 world cup preparation game today, and many other sporting events.
