I saw this on Twitter so may not quite be true but the journo is saying these are the 5 laws that Jim wants to bring into the club…
1) Age limit of 25 for new signings
2) No Galacticos
3) Style of play to be set by technical director Jason Wilcox
4) Manager to be asked what position he wants to sign, not what player
5) Ineos to send lists of 3 players per position for the manager to choose from.
If true I’m not entirely sure I’m happy with that. How many big clubs out there set up like that? Maybe City but I’d be shocked if Pep didn’t have a much bigger say on who he brings in than the above. And is Jason Wilcox of all people who we want to decide on our style of play?
Perhaps it’s worth a try as what’s come before has failed but to be it just seems to be going from one extreme to another. Especially the weird age limit.

To be fair I am more optimistic that Ten Hag will be sacked if this is true.
Can't see his overinflated ego being able to take not being the big dog anymore.

The galatico one makes sense at the moment no real top player is gonna go to United certainly from a sporting perspective. The only way they come is offering them more money than anyone else and is that going to provide the right motivation for the player. You only have to look at Casamiero as a good example granted he was over the hill but in his prime there is no way he goes to this United. If they improve and start to regain a bit of a reputation for excellence then that might change.

Can’t say I’ve ever thought ETH comes across as arrogant … unintelligible maybe?
BTW, I’d have Thomas Frank ahead of ETH all day, every day. He’s working wonders with the resources at his disposable, and also appears to be a FAR better man manager. I can also always understand what he says, which must also help with player communication.

Honestly it’s not the worst policy. Arsenal have pretty much adapted something similar and long term it’s a lot better. But you always need an experienced guy like Jorginho in our case for the dressing room etc.

It really is. Arsenal didn’t have an under 25 policy either. Partey, Mari, Soares, Willian, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Trossard, Jorginho and Raya weren’t under 25. And whilst they’ve massively improved, they haven’t been that successful in this period anyway.
