Hi All,
A long time lurker here (since BBC 606!) but definitely not an expert!
Life long Spurs fan ... memories of the summer when we signed Ardiles and Villa.
Now living in the States .. can watch all the games for $4 a month ...sorry, not sorry!
My first post ... so, go easy.
Just a few thoughts:
Levy: I think most agree, a great businessman ... stadium and facilities and well run finances. (although whether or not its a football or entertainment stadium may be up for debate).
However, on the player side, much is left to be desired. In recent times we had 2 major times to REALLY kick on, under Rednapp and then again under Poch ... and both times he failed miserably.
Manger appointments of AVB, Mourinho, Santos and Conte were also very poor..... at the end of which we were terrible to watch, boring and complete inability to beat the low block (still somewhat of an issue).
Watching the first 10 games under Ange ... I was OMG, we are back!! But unfortunately (injuries, suspensions and ??) saw us fall away, with a very poor end to last season.
Still, I was excited to see the support Ange would get during the summer.
Pros: 15 players out the door, I think most of us were happy with .... but, I think of all of them the most we got was 20m for Skipp!
Cons: only 5 (?) brought in, and 3 teenagers with little to no Pl experience. Not sure how this is building a squad depth?
In slight defence of Levy. A few summers ago, we bought Ndombele, Sessegon and Lo Celso for 100m(?) ... and sold all 3 for 4m ....hardly a sustaintable practice. We also bought Richarlison and Johnson for 110m, and most on here it would seem do not think they should be in the first team. So, it appears, when we do spend the money, its poorly spent ... is that all on Levy? (scouting, managers etc?) ... so, its possible to see his reluctance in spending big money.
So, perhaps we need to look to who is in charge of player recruitment? Perhaps if there was better return on these higher priced players (and better resale value), he may loosen the purse strings?
However, overall I'm disappointed in the summer incomings ...perhaps they are looking towards the next couple of years (everything can't be done in one transfer period) ... so we'll see. (Ange is on record as saying he's "happy"?)
We did spend 60M on Solanke (fingers crossed) .... or do you think we should have spent the 60M on Eze (given we would only make one high price signing) ... or on someone else?
Anyways, looking forward to the season, COYS!
First time poster thoughts...

I have firestick, so many games on Youtube tv, but I also have Peacock which shows all the EPL games each week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Peacock will only let me see games a day later.
Do you get to see them in real time, and if so, how?

Thanks "I am ..." As I mentioned above, it was years ago, honestly can't remember ..... and wasn't motivated to go through the process of making an account. Again, this weekend was combination of having some beers and being on JA606 at the same time!

Do you have the subscription service? I think I pay $4 a month and that does allow you to watch any of the EPL games live, including Spurs.
Even with the subscription ... if you can't watch it live, yes you can watch the full replays .... and its a bit weird, sometimes the replays are available a couple of hours after the game, and then sometimes its not until 24 hours later (which is a pain).
Peacock only has the rights for EPL games, to watch cup games, euro games ..... Youtube TV on firestick, or ESPN (I have ESPN with Disney package, for my kids).
I notice paramount+ is getting in on the championship games instead of ESPN.
Also, funny to see, now that the Wrexham bandwagon has taken off, they are showing their games live over here now!

I am now based in California.
Peacock lets me see games one day late.
I also have FuboTV which is expensive but sometimes has access to game Peacock doesn't.
If FuboTV IS showing a game, it is usually in realtime.
I use it for US Open Tennis.

I'm a little outside of Philadelphia (after 20 years in NYC). If you get the paid subscription to Peacock you can watch them all live.
