Tough run of fixtures that we're in with Arsenal and Brentford at home then United and Brighton away. As it stands that's 3 in the current top 6 and with United away you can always expect a tricky game. I think after this run we should have a better understanding of where we are with Ange this season. Going by end of last season's form we wouldn't have won any of these games. Going by the start of last season's form we probably wouldn't have lost.
A poor return from this lot will see little change in terms of last season's inconsistency and the likelihood of us being set adrift from the top 4 and floundering in mid-table somewhere. Whether we keep playing well won't matter if we don't deliver some positive results, it'll just keep suggesting that something is wrong with this Ange team.
A good return with a continuation of dominance that is getting us over the line in games and we can consider that there is some improvement going on. I'm not saying we should expect to win every game or anything but 6 or more points (with no more than 1 loss) is what we should be aiming for.
Obviously there will be League Cup and European fixtures among these and truth be told, they are all reasonable fixtures that we should expect to get something out of. An exit from the LC against Coventry in among poor league form would only exacerbate the pressure on Ange.
How do you see the next month going?
Is the next month make or break for Ange?

Meh, past caring these days, we are not achieving anything special under these businessmen owners, they have absolutely no desire to win silverware whatsoever.
Whether Ange stays or Ange goes, it will be a ride on the same roundabout until Levy & ENIC fack off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you're going to post the same thing until they fack off?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, why not, there is nothing else to say, it`s all a pointless discussion, same shiete slightly different depth under ENIC year on year
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok thanks for letting me know

My absolute pleasure

Realistically though, who could even come in and do better? That’s the question people should be asking. I can’t see a single manager who could take spurs to that level, who they could realistically get.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There isn't anyone that you could say can come in and guarantee progressing Spurs to winning titles or the big trophies. It's impossible to foresee it. You just look at good managers who you think could do well. One option if Ange is no longer here would be Thomas Frank. He has got his team performing the high press extremely well and they look organised, all while losing a key player. It's testament to the good job he's done that Brentford are now in their 4th year in the PL with no real sign that they are struggling to stay in it.

Always find the 'plan B' argument hilarious.
Most people can't articulate what a plan B would be other than 'hit it facking long'.
Ange makes tactical and personnel tweaks much as any other manager does. It isn't a complete philosophy change, same with Klopp, Pep, Arteta, Slot, ETH, Conte etc etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ange has got a plan b and a plan c strangely but both are rubbish.
Plan b push even higher up the pitch. Children in the playground football.
Plan c false 9 yet claim to never change his principles mate.
The aim in all plans is to get to the "red zones" and get the ball across the box then to be first to the second phase where we are pressing so high we should then turn the ball over. Hence why we cross into the box even if there is not somebody there. Works in Japan, Australia and Scotland it will not work here unless he was managing a Manchester City.
I know somebody who worked for Big Ange at Celtic and he is absoloutely adamant that i have got it all wrong and Ange will come good. That the premier league has never seen somebody like Ange before.

That isn’t true, he showed in games like Bournemouth and Brighton last season what his other plans can be.
In the former he didn’t have the ability to buildup with the fullbacks in the middle so pushed them really deep and wide effectively. In the latter he exploited the man-to-man marking of the team and made the wingers drop extra deep and have the midfielders run in behind to exploit their matchups.
It isn’t obvious and doesn’t have to be the same simplistic solution like you are making out

I don't think you've got it all wrong. He's clearly a manager that has a very definite style that he's not going away from. But I do think you're wrong in that he never changes anything. You've said so yourself. Are we going to sit back and try and hit teams on the break? No. But then we've all watched that kind of football and I think we can all agree it's sheit.
Also, we came fifth in the PL last season without a proper striker, we had no CBs for months, and all that.. a b bit of perspective is needed here. You might not agree with everything he's doing but it's not like he's going to get us relegated FFS.

Very good points Edin mate. Gonna go back and watch both games you mentioned!
The only thing is i think it is obvious i keep going on about school children because we all move towards the ball with no thought on the positioning.
Then teams play through us as the gaps are so huge because we play so wide and high.

Hope your well BLB.
Good point about the centre forward part you mention is huge, just defensively Solanke will help us at set pieces. We all took for granted Harry Kane clearing at set pieces.
I fear a big drop off in points thats my huge fear. Im looking at a 9th place finish. Hope i am wrong.

I don’t love the continual pressing as I think we should have periods where we don’t go 100% all the time - like at the weekend there was no need for Maddison to press Joelinton like he did on a yellow.
However I think the issue is basically we lack that quality forward to be more clinical based off the attacking opportunities we create. I believe Son has regressed significantly (and doesn’t really suit the system) and you compare him to the other top teams best attacker and we are a fair bit off.
