I think as a board we’re all in unison that it’s a matter of when, not if Ten Hag gets sacked. Here’s a list of names and y’all can decide who is best …
Ruud is the favourite to be the next manager. I don’t really think he’s up for the job as we’ve already had another ex goalscoring legend take the job which was too big for him. What has Ruud done to deserve the job? Not for me.
Southgate is second favourite. I don’t know anyone who wants him as our manager but he’s available and coming off a job that rebuilt his rep. He hasn’t been a club manager in ages so please no.
Tuchel is someone I’ve been a fan of for a while but he supposedly turned us down a few months ago. Can a deal be rekindled? Hopefully but I just can’t see it.
Potter is another out there who is thought of highly by those at the club but is he a big enough personality to reign in this squad? Not sure.
Kieran McKenna is the hipsters favourite but he would be committing reputational suicide imo by taking the job now. He’s doing well with Ipswich and should make himself more ‘bulletproof’ as an option and the job will be his if/when he’s ready.
Another one of my long term favourite choices is Silva at Fulham. Doing an excellent job there and plays a very pleasing style of football. Yes please. Glasner is having a poor start to the season but wouldn’t be against him as an option too.

I don't see what would attract him to United-in-crisis that didn't attract him to the possibility of going to Bayern/Liverpool/potentially Real Madrid with a full summer to work with his new team.

The fact United are in crisis is the attraction.
All the other clubs you mentioned have won league and European titles relatively recently. Of course winning those titles always adds gloss, but it just isn't the same when you achieve it at a club that's already one of the favourites at the start of the season.
United have fallen so far that they're nobody's favourites to win anything major right now. They're currently the much bigger challenge precisely because they're just as big as any of the others, but haven't had the success in recent years that the others have.
I don't think Alonso would drop Leverkusen mid-season, but there's no saying he wouldn't be open to the job in the summer.

Rosso, if you're about, I heard some quite convincing analysis that argued that while players were also accountable for plenty of errors in the Spurs match, failures to close down / missing tackles was primarily a systemic issue. The argument went that because the shape was wrong, starting positions were wrong, you would get domino effects of player after player being in catch-up mode. I guess when that's the case, you have players operating under stress conditions more of the time, and then being more likely than usual to make errors in execution.
I guess it's chicken and egg. A collective lack of sharpness, concentration and discipline makes the tactical plan less viable; flaws in the plan or failure to properly get it across erode players' confidence and execution.

What does it matter which is first out of a headless chicken and scrambled egg?

We seem to be arguing every week that the selection and shape was wrong, not just for the spurs game, which will cause problems and stress for the players and cause them to make errors.

It was just bizarre against Spurs. We were at home but gave them their entire half to start attacks at will with zero pressing from us. We played like the away team and our only game plan was to launch long balls to Garnacho and Rashford to run onto but those two had no interest in working hard enough to make it work

It was. There is a feeling of enough is enough of this at Old Trafford now. Things will have to change now if TH wants to continue as the coachandthe guy who picks the team.

The frustrating bit for me is the players just do not seem to give a fack, It's horrible for the youngsters around them.
The tactics are atrocious but it is about time we also look at shipping out people like Bruno and Rashford. Mentally they are not up for the challenge.

Put it this way, if VDV had got past Rashford and Bruno yesterday, Keano or Butt or Ander facking Herrera would have been on their way across already, caught him and wiped him out.
Keane would then have gone after Bruno *and* Rashford and torn them new ones.
It’s not good enough. I’m sick of talking about our work rate, determination and focus.

Agree, nobody seems to be held accountable in that dressing room.
Ugarte has really concerned me so far, he looks miles off the pace of the PL, I don't think he's won a 50/50 and he's provided absolutely no protection for the defence or signs of ability on the ball.

Typical United...New season and barely October and they want their latest manager OUT

don’t you mean typical Spurs who have gone through 19 managers under Levy, including 6 managers in 2 years when Ange was appointed. Classic moregreaves 🤠
