I'm not even going to go in on Erik today. My opinion on him has been crystal clear since around Christmas time and nothing that has happened since that day has changed it. If anything we have got worse but that's neither here nor there. He needs to be put out of his misery and he can't sack himself.
What I'm surprised is that INEOS seem to be getting praise from everywhere and I can't understand why. They have made an absolutely monumental **** up with this manager. If you interview new managers you're essentially saying to the world that you don't think the current one is good enough. To go back on that decision and keep him for another year was as cowardly as it is counter productive. You essentially gave the players an excuse and also sent them mixed messages.
Had this been the Glazers that had done this we'd have been absolutely livid with them so we can't pick and choose when to protest the owners / operators.
It's very early days into the new regime but I'm sorry so far I'm less than impressed. I want people who are confident in their decision making and aren't going to bow down to fan pressure. The fans don't know what they want and most probably seem to think lightning is going to strike twice like it did with Fergie if we keep him I guess. It won't. That won't ever happen again in our entire history.
Keeping him for a single game further is completely pointless now. Make the decision you were going to make in the summer and right your own wrong. He's been a lame duck manager ever since that Tuchel interview and even I feel a bit sorry for him in that regard.
Focus is on INEOS now not Erik
