BBC are reporting Manchester United will continue to support manager Erik ten Hag despite a tough start to the season and a 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham. The club remains committed to Ten Hag for upcoming matches against Porto and Aston Villa, emphasizing a careful, non-reactive approach to management decisions. Ten Hag, under pressure with the team sitting 12th in the Premier League, insists he has the board's backing and is focused on improving performance. The club's current situation highlights a challenging environment, exacerbated by poor statistics, including a joint-worst start in Premier League history.

I feel sorry for Ugarte - he's probably decent enough, but basically come into this team expected to be our version of Rodri etc but surrounded by utter garbage - not an easy baptism of fire
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He came with a reputation as a no nonsense, tough tackling, aggressive defensive midfielder, what I have seen so far is a player who looks lost, ambles about missing tackles, caught out of position or allows players to drift past him with ease. At present he does not look an upgrade on anyone, long way to go but far from impressed.

Honestly, we could have had Rodri in there and he would have looked rubbish. We were so poor and Spurs were on fire, not an easy game to try and control. I fear that it's gonna be a tough few weeks ahead for him

To be fair a lot of our players look lost at present. When that happens then there are bigger problems.
We need a boost. Changing the manager may not necessarily get the best person in but it'd be something. This just seems like a long painful goodbye now. We've seen it all before.

It's difficult not to see how Ang has got Spurs playing compared to us and think, wtf is happening? Is their squad way better than ours - I don't think so.
Of course Ang is not prefect, but at least he knows what he wants and the players buy into it. ETH has got 2 trophies, but the league is bread and butter and this squad is just all over the place. Never has a season felt so bad so early on

I constantly read and hear ETH is a details man, he is meticulous with every aspect, from training to what function / role each player has to execute during the match. With this in mind, the lack of conviction, the look of confusion on each player's face is alarming. Are the players simply confused as to what they should be doing? Are they fatigued even, being over trained? Laziness, perhaps? Or is it even more sinister, are the players downing tools and who could possibly be the mastermind behind this rebellion?
Given most of the playing squad have previously worked with ETH the downing of tools seems implausible. Fatigued? Possibly but pure laziness was a factor. The minimum I expect is effort, none of which was on display against Spurs. I don't think most of the players understand or believe in what ETH's is asking of them.

We need characters, we need personalities, we need players to show they care. We are lacking a spark at present.

I didn’t know much about the lad before we signed him but read all the tough tackling, takes no prisoners stuff on line but watching him at the game yesterday he seemed quite weak and frail nothing like what I expected he is certainly no Roy Keane.
Early days but he put in a good impression of being just about as pointless a signing Mason Mount yesterday.
The money we have piiised away the last two or three seasons is mind blowing.
I don’t think I have ever seen a United team as poorly prepared for a game as yesterday it’s beyond criminal it’s being allowed to continue .
