eurosport says he is!

Yeah he’s not renewed his BBBC licence apparently… could just be a stunt to try and play hard ball over negotiations with Vitali but I doubt it.
No one is really that interested.
If he does retire then fair play to him – he’s achieved a ridiculous amount in the sport and managed to get out in time for his health. Well done!
The Klitschko loss isn’t a stain on his record really, yes he was soundly beaten, but he was willing to get in there and have a go so fair play to him. The whole broken toe excuse was a bit much to take, but you can’t criticise him too much for that.
Good luck to him in the future!

His trash talking was disgraceful… all it did was lose him support. When he was trash talking Audley it was entertaining, firstly because Audley didn’t have the best credentials – but secondly because Audley bit and gave as good as he got (in the build up).
Trash talking Klitschko just made him look absolutely ridiculous… the guy was clearly an impressive boxer… Haye didn’t need to “sell the fight” which is the usual excuse – and so just let himself down. Had he managed to draw Klitschko out with his talking you could say perhaps it justified the means but it didn’t. The real champion kept his composure and showed unbelievable dignity all throughout the build up.
Having said that – Haye was entertaining in the ring, and he did have the guts to go in there and challenge the odds. He deserves credit for that at least. Also he did clear up the cruiser weight division so let’s give credit where it is due.
