Boots XMAS AD 2024

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncTd0Wfk6QE

Quite a few people are outraged over this and boycotting boots

This ad doesn't bother me in the slightest

What say you ?

whats the issue tho?, I don't get why it would be remotely offensive to anybody?

just an advert?

There no black people in the north pole. If there was, they would have adapted to the conditions and become white.

They are completely ignoring science.

The North Pole is beneath the Arctic Ocean. And the closest human settlements are Inuit.
But hey, Elves, flying reindeer, and a fat bassa in red pyjamas. WTAF?
What is wrong with you people?

I feel like the Twitter generation need something to occur in order to gain perspective in life. What a feckin' hill to do on this is. Jesus. Grow up! There's absolutely nothing to be offended by.

These people aren't really offended. Not really. Not by anything so mild, but the opportunity never seems to pass for the righteous army to self-promote and spit out their virtue-signalling nonsense. It's all to do with social media. If you're young enough, you've never had a life without social media - a series of platforms engineered for you, by you in order to shine a light on your own brand. "All hail me", 8 billion people cry. How do you get ahead of the rest and stand out? You jump on every single opportunity to promote yourself, including calling out foul play in others because if you're the first to call it, that adds a few stars to your own brand. It's toxic. Social media has ruined thought, nuance, debate, tolerance and harmony. The outrage from this advert is meaningless. The army of rabid virtue-signallers hell bent on calling "it" out are far worse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

ow live in. I avoid social media other than this site and this site is bad enough with its bizarre views and the few posters that love to stir outrage daily on all manner of things. But here we are, 2024
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you not entertained? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? Is this not why you are here?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like the occasional read of social media to confirm that I am superior to these cants.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
U aint tho

To be fair, no more ridiculous than believing in any religious deity. And technically you could make a reindeer fly, it just wouldn't land very well, and I have been to SantaCon in NYC and there were countless 'fat bassas' in red pajamas.
