No boozing today, so back to the usual format.
From an abundance of midfielders, we found ourselves with just three fit midfielders vs Arsenal. Anderson and MGW joined Danilo and Sangare in the treatment room.
What would’ve been a difficult task soon became an impossible one.
Arsenal:
The Good: Awoniyi is starting to look sharp again.
Bad: Elanga, JWP and Moreno stood out for all the wrong reasons.
The Ugly: A poor performance all round.
Special Mention(s): Silva impressive off the bench.
The Last Time we played Ipswich @ (H) W2-0 back in December 2018!! Grabban with the brace.
Pantillimon
Darikwa Dawson Hefele Robinson
Guedioura Colback
Lolley Carvalho Dias
Grabban
We have come a long way in just seven years!
Proposed Line-up:
Sels
Williams Milenkovic Murillo Aina
Yates Dominguez
Silva MGW CHO
Wood
Subs:
Miguel, Morato, Moreno, Moreira, Anderson, JWP, Elanga, Sosa, Awoniyi
Injuries: Danilo & Sangare
Doubtful: Anderson, Elanga, MGW.
Not selected: Boly, Omobamidele, Toffolo
League
Form:
Ipswich - the last six:
L4-1 @ West Ham
L2-0 @ Home to Everton
L4-3 @ Brentford
D1-1 @ Home to Leicester
W2-1 @ Spurs
D1-1 @ Home to Man United
They are W1 D2 L3 away this season, but recent results will give them confidence.
Prediction:
If we can field Anderson and / or MGW I think we’ll have enough. Wood does well against newly promoted sides, even though Ipswich are probably a step above the average!
2-1 to Forest.
Final Words:
Let’s keep dreaming!!!

Forest v Ipswich - Match Thread

A couple of games ago I would have felt quietly confident on this one, but now with injuries starting to kick in, I’m not so sure, add to that Ipswich looked poor, this has also changed, and will be feeling pretty confident after their last 2 results.
Having said that, I agree, if we can get Anderson and/or MGW back into midfield we should prevail.
We’ve conceded 6 since we last scored, albeit against a very good Arsenal team, and a very savvy counter attacking Newcastle, we definitely need to get the defensive solidity back, Delap certainly look a threat for the Tractor boys.
We really need 3 points today, to instil some confidence ahead of 3 very difficult games, a draw wouldn’t really suffice.
Nuno needs to be more positive in his approach, ideally for all games, but especially home ones.
Forest to win this 3-1.

MGW,Anderson, Williams and Wood, all start.
This is arguably our strongest starting XI, depending on who you choose between Merino and Williams at the back.
Definitely our best chance of a win today, just hope they produce what they are capable of.

Should be one up, CHO too sloooow and indecisive.

Good open game, Ipswich giving as good as they are getting. Excellent clearance off the line from Aina or the Tractor boys would be one up from a corner.

I don’t get Nuno’s tactics, why are we sitting back and inviting pressure, makes no sense at all.
1-0 will do but it wasn’t a great performance, but still 3 points.

Chris Wood scores again!
With 24 Premier League goals for Nottingham Forest, he equals Bryan Roy’s record as the club's all-time top scorer in the league. 🔥
Can he break the record next game?
