The universally disdained one - Nicolas Jackson
Matching the steady conversion rate he had at Villarreal and surpassed Werner and Torres' total goals for the club in half the matches played.
No-one in Nico's age bracket is matching or bettering his output in and out of possession, the most cost-effect striker purchase.
Objectively one of the best all-round strikers in Europe at present (Madrid will come knocking in the future), lucky to have him in his early 20s and with a strong mental capacity after all the vitriol, jeers and abuse from twonks. Taken for granted.
Same twonks that used to shower utter basket cases in Torres & Werner with support & praise for doing less than the bare minimum and they were by far levels below the standard required.
Truly vomit-inducing
Only one of them doesn't take penalties...

I'll reiterate the more we have him involved in final third play, the better.
The catalyst up top in attack that makes things work, with his manoeuvres and generally nous.

Improved his finishing this season. Last season he missed way too many sitters. Very good all round striker though. Still think we need another striker to compete and rotate with him.

The finishing was always there, this was one of the reasons club signed Nico in the first place.
Finishing was just patchy (hit-and-miss) last season, which can happen to any striker in the infancy of their striker career.
Peaks and troughs even happens to the most experienced strikers.
As for striker buy... The club tried to sign a striker of a different profile to Jackson in the summer, near enough the same upside in Omorodion which was the right way of doing it...
I wished the deal for Omorodion (who is doing very well) hadn't fallen through and that would have meant Felix wouldn't have existed at the club again.

Yeah Felix was such a pointless/forced signing. Omorodion and even Duran would’ve been good purchases. Got to give the club credit for identifying the right striker but unfortunately we couldn’t get the deals done.

Duran would have turned out to be a very expensive rotation operation.
Club agreed Omorodion fee at the sweet spot price 35m, on low wages and would have covered Nico' aerial shortcoming.

If the club were to revisit Omorodion transfer, they have to stump up his release clause fee which is set at €100m (Porto are notoriouly hard to negotiate with). Dont see that happening with the way Nico is developing.
Missed opportunity.
Like you said and I agree, club have been good at identifying the right striker though, so maybe they'll find another one at a decent price again.
