The French connections

Spurs are now looking seriously at two players, both are currently in the French league, on top of Kolo Muani.

One name that would ring a bell with the Spurs fans, is that of Skriniar. The former Inter Milan CB. Spurs have been following Skriniar for a while. PSG manager has been using less Skriniar in his selection, and more the likes of Marquinhos, Pacho and Beraldo. Though there are a fair few admirers for the once one of the best CBs in the world. Yet the player has only started 5 games so far.

Any loan deal for Skriniar ideally should include an option to buy, as PSG want to offload him.

Spurs are in desperate need to give Archie Gray and Dragusin some rest, and bolster their defense, before the return game at Anfield in Carabao cup. One of their key targets now.

The other player is known to the England fans: Angel Gomes.

Spurs could accelerate attempts to win the race for his signature by agreeing terms which would see him signed immediately instead of when his deal expires in the summer.

Spurs are close to agreeing personal terms with Kolo Muani, the deal is almost agreed. Kolo would cost around £55m, on an initial loan deal and PSG want there to be some sort of obligation to sign him permanently.

We seem to prefer player trading in the French ligue: are these good deals or suitable to our price range? what you say, yay or no?

Is this Muani any good? His stats aren't very impressive for a 26 year old forward from the French league.

Our recruitment has been generally positive lately and we saw more of that with the cup game against Liverpool, however it hasn't always gone great - Drag hasn't been overly convincing, and Werner is Werner. £55m is a lot for someone who just looks like a squad player and our record from the French league has not been particularly good. I'd rather we showed an interest in David.

Muani can play anywhere up front… so that’s appealing…. He’s also an upgrade on Werner, Johnson & off form Son…

Juventus could not compete with us with transfer fee or wages… though Man Utd could….

What’s this Mamoush like? Mido was raving about him…& even recommended him, to us…

Is it a forgone conclusion, that he’s going to Man City??

Both Micky and Romero may be back for 2nd leg of semi final. I think the worse of the injury crisis may be now over hopefully.

Yes, they both should be back by 30th Jan. But, Muani does not play as a CB, so even when the issue of CBs is addressed we still need someone who is an attacking player who can play accross the front area. Maybe even replace Werner? Muani can do that.

"Spurs are now looking seriously at two players" being as immature as I am all I can picture is two scouts scorning eyebrows frowned as they watch a player.

I thought you didn't care for Romero....too slow, can't jump,...
And VDV will only play once a week if he is to stay fit.
So we still need a CB?

Whilst i love the idea of both players who would improve us and are quality players.

Questions have to be asked why is a club like ours is bringing players in on loan same with Werner.

When we charge the highest prices in the country.

I think a loan with an option to buy is a shrewd move when buying a player from a foreign league who may not succeed. Imagine if we had bought Werner even for a low fee.
