Team for Tamworth, expect plenty

of changes. Although the defence is still absolutely depleted, so cannot see that changing a lot. Goalie may as well stay the same, as not a lot of point in changing just for one match. Midfield and upfront can change from midweek starting XI.

Kinsky
Spence
Draguson
Dorrington
Regulion
Sarr
Maddison
Werner
Moore
Johnson
Richarlison

Some of the youngsters need a rest. With Arsenal to follow midweek.

Should be more than enough to see off Tamworth comfortably, and give Spurs progression in a 3rd cup competition.

Not worried about this one. Just rest the more important players - Kulu, Solanke, and give the youngsters a chance.

I'm convinced we'll win even with a second string. Getting through is all that matters. If we progress to say the quarter finals and get a tricky draw, it won't make a blind bit of difference whether we've gone strong in every round or have scraped through each round while resting key players.

Of course being Spurs as soon as we draw a Championship or even a League 1 team we need to go strong. I just think it's daft and unnecessary to play your first 11 against a non league team.

The lack of defensive options , is unbelievable

Expect most 1st team players,to only play a half each
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The lack of defensive options is only because of so many injuries to our defenders.

Why not? Spurs have beaten City, Man United and Liverpool in cup ties this season. So not like they cannot beat the better sides, they can. They key is to get home draws in the latter stages of cup competitions.

I totally agree that we can beat the big sides on our day, as we have in the league cup so far this season. Just saying it doesn't make it any easier having gone strong unnecessarily against the likes of Tamworth. If anything it makes it harder because our players are more at risk of being injured or fatigued when we need them against the big guns.

As I said previously, Dragusin needs a rest. He's been playing every match.
