A midday (thanks FA & international broadcasters!) clash in Ashton Vale in the third round of the cup and a potential upset on the cards, yes Wolves could actually win this one. No need for the banana skin cliches, its slippy enough out there in these freezing temperatures, but yes in the traditional sense 8th in the Champ v 17th in the Prem could see us concentrating on the league come tomorrow afternoon.

Hope not, a good cup run can help with momentum and should Vitor be able to steer us clear of relegation fears over the coming weeks it would be a really positive thing to focus on over the second half of the season of thus far mostly negative vibes.

Brizzle have a some injury worries at the back but do have in Albanian Anis (stop it!) Mehmeti an in form striker with a decent supporting cast around him, including Nahki Wells who seems to have been playing Championship football since God was a boy. Seem to recall we were linked with him once.

The side that played against Forest was similar to the one I expected to see tomorrow, Pedro Lima should surely be given the chance to build on his impressive PL debut and Rodrigo Gomes should also start in my view. Maybe a debut for the new signing Agbadou too. Sarabia could possibly come in for Guedes in rotation. Could be an opportunity to give Forbs a start but my expectations in that area are low. Bentley may be given a sympathetic start too against his old club.

Difficult to predict but we should have enough 1-2.

5 am start over here, won't be getting up for that, had a few medical issues this week from nowhere, extreme blood pressure and cardio guy fears a blockage and has put me on strong shat, feel awful. Not the start to the new year I was hoping for.

All the best Cinci. Probably for the best not watching Wolves if you have high blood pressure.

No kidding. Did have to watch Ohio State last night in the college semi, that didn't help though we did eventually put it away.

Zakaria Akboukhlal is the latest name being linked with us. He plays for Toulouse as a right sided attacker

Hope this rumour doesn’t come true.

He refused to play for Toulouse in a week when all French teams were wearing rainbow badges on their shirts to protest against homophobia. And he created a stir in a reaction to a female deputy mayor who was telling a group he was in to be quiet in a hotel. He said he wasn’t prepared to be talked to like that by a woman. And said his wife would never disrespect him in that way

The woman thing fair enough that's not acceptable behaviour but the rainbow badges why should be have to wear one

I'd say both are red flags.

Draw for the next round happens about 5:30 this afternoon with the 4th round to be played on the weekend of Feb 8th

For now Wolves start off on another run of tough league matches. Newcastle and Chelsea away, followed by Arsenal and Villa at home then Liverpool away. Be an achievement to still be above the bottom three after those games.

At least Cunha will be back on Wednesday, surely instead of Hwang, and Agbadou will make his league debut. With Semedo, Toti and Dawson still unfit there will be another game for Rodrigo Gomes who has made a great impact in recent games and looks set for a bright future.

In the current Blackburn squad are Danny Batth, Andreas Weimann and Dion Sanderson

Didnt know Sanderson was there as well. Should make it a bit more spicy. Blackburn have a similar record to Bristol but Bristol's recent form has been better. Good chance to get in to round 5.

Sanderson joined them last week on loan from Birmingham
