Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has also been talking with the media.
He was asked if the league, rather than the FA Cup, was more of a priority: "In this moment I am living day by day. What I am thinking is we have one week without any game, we had a day off and we could work with the team a bit.
"We have to play the best team and win and follow the last performance. I am not thinking in that way because we are in a difficult moment. My focus is more in our week. In the cup you never know. Sometimes it is better to win this kind of game and then you have less time to rest. We just want to win this game and then we will think about the next one."
On the FA Cup, of which it will be his first experience: "I see what everybody sees. It is a really old competition with a lot of history.
"We won some cups and we want to continue. At this stage we already have a really strong match we want to win and we want to improve the image and performance."
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim on the transfer window and whether homegrown players will be sold to boost finances: "We need to improve recruitment, so that when we are targeting players we are sure they can cope with the demands.
"Also, we have to improve our academy. Young kids that feel the club in the right way and do some business to have money to invest in the team.
"Our idea is always to keep the best players and to build for this club, but I am really happy and like our players, especially the guys from the academy."
Ruben Amorim on Marcus Rashford's potential loan away from Manchester United and whether he still has a future at United: "We will see. Letโs focus on the game. They [Rashford and Mainoo] are available, they are training and we will see the selection for the game."
On whether the squad are reaching his demands, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim said: "I think we rotated more in the parts where we were trying to find out what kind of players we have and then a lot of players were returning from injuries and we were rotating less.
"I look at some players in the positions and try and put some fresh legs. Now we have time to train a little bit more and work on set pieces. We suffered a lot in the last game, so we will see. I donโt rotate because I want to rotate. I am trying to find out the best solutions for each game."
Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim on whether academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo will stay at the club: "Yeah, my players are always my favourites so I want to keep my players. It is a special moment in this club, it is a hard moment but I am really happy Kobbie is improving."

Just watching Milan vs Cagliari. Mike Maignon, regarded by many as the best keeper in the world at the moment, has just let in a bad goal: weak shot from distance, had plenty of time to get down but let it go under his arms.

FFS
There are clips of him making the same errors at Ajax and inter that he's made here.
Not sure what anyone was thinking when he was signed.
Was the idea that we were going to be a possession based team who never faced shots? I guess Onana would've been okay in that situation, as would I, and my nan on her zimmerframe

There’s a load of them, there’s actually video compilations of all his fack ups, watched a fair bit of it, but after 3.5 hours of clips I gave up with another 19 hours still left to play

Yeah that was awful keeping.
I wonder how many of those Mike Maignon has done compared to Onana?
The fact that I can't seem to find any Mike Maignon fack up compilations on YouTube tells a bit of a story
I'm not denying all keepers make mistakes. All players, regardless of position, make mistakes. Not on the scale of this guy though, in such a short period of time.
Being truthful, he is an OK keeper, prone to the common fack up.
You mention he has better stats than most keepers. This stat is largely skewed. We have had one of the most leaky midfield and defences in the league in his time here.
Correct, many of the shots he has faced, should be guaranteed saves, including many of the goals he lets trickle past him.
From memory, he hasn't made any saves that I wouldn't expect a PL level keeper to make.
Big Dave often pulled off saves where all you could do was sit there and go "how?". I haven't had any of these moments with Onana, YET.

The stat of goals conceded vs post shot expected goals comes from professional analysts looking carefully at every shot on target faced, assessing difficulty, and benchmarking against all other keepers. It can't be 100% accurate but it's the most objective and comprehensive view we have. I certainly trust that over any fan's 'from memory I don't recall any saves he has made that a decent keeper wouldn't' and the fact there are more YouTube clips of Onana errors.

You are free to trust the stat men, Mr Russian, just as I am free to trust my eyes.
There's a guy on this board who is convinced Pogba was the greatest player that's ever existed purely because of stats, Don Draper.
The statmen are making things up as they go these days. xGOT being one I've seen recently. Absolutely pointless, so pointless that I can't even believe people are paid to do this crap.
My eyes tell me he is nowhere near being a top keeper, but he is lower down the list of priorities at this club so he'll do, for now.
P.s. you're starting to sound like Hafi.
