Jamie Jackson = Cretin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMGyZjqVzMI

Asking Ruben about the storm he said was coming and whether it was going to get worse with thunder and lightening was embarrassing enough ffs but then asks Maguire about the nervousness of the team and if it helps hearing your manager say those things whilst he sits right next to him.

Who on earth do these people think they are? Nobody buys papers anymore or takes what they say seriously yet they think they walk on water. He's getting pelters on socials too for those ridiculous questions, especially the follow up one, and rightly so.

For once United do something right and ban this cretin from Old Trafford / Carrington forever ffs. Fergie would have done it without a moments pause. So called Manchester correspondent for the Guardian my backside. My word their standards are low if he's all they can come up with. Daily Star is about his true level at best. He's a cancerous little toad and always has been. He's a terrible journalist and I use the term journalist very loosely here.

I'd echo RR's comments above. He just isn't a very good journalist, interviewer or writer, and I don't expect that he'll be at the Guardian for long.

The Athletic have robbed all the major newspapers decent journalists and now they’ve been left with absolute scrap.

Rosso, he has been there a good while already. If there was any serious quality control he'd be gone by now. He really is abysmal. His match reports are terribly structured and demonstrate he has no insights into the game and no curiosity about tactics. And aside from the content, his writing ability is horrific. I genuinely find it painful to read his prose. Terrible. Terrible.

Arab, there are thousands of talented enough journalists out there who could take the place of the ones not good enough to get Athletic gigs. This is surely more about the fact that an advertising-based business model no longer sustains high quality sports writing. You could easily replace JJ with a more accomplished journalist. You could pay someone an entry-level salary. The fact that they're not doing that suggests brainless crаp that generates brainless engagement and annoyance is in fact the most viable model available to them.

I know, I just can’t believe he’ll get away with it for much longer

Don't read any football writer articles but listen to a few on TV. Always have time for John Cross - very balanced, not a sensationalist, just gives good insights into the club from his contacts.

I guess when you've established yourself and you're part of the more old skool cluster of football writers you don't have to be such a dic* to make yourself known or keep yourself in a job.

Journos, just like refs and presenters have let the Sky money go to their head and all think they are bigger shots than they really are

Dare I say it but he's not rubbish at his job though. Well, if it's his job to inflame and generate clicks!

Also, the OP doesn't look like him as his name is Jamie (pronounced Hamie)...

Guardian aren’t very good these days, their lists of top 100 players are always laughable
