Excellent goal for Betis today.
MOTM last week.
It’s just getting funny at this stage.

A lot of players just need a loan out. Every young player on our team needs to go to one before coming into the first team.

Antony started well with us, but was destroyed by the media, first for playing his style (which they thought too fancy) and then for not deserving his price. Our media, especially the former players, are quick to criticize foreign players who earn a lot of money: Pogba (criticized for anything, including his hair cut), Varane (arguably our best defender of the post Fergie era, for getting injured), Casemiro, Antony. Now, I worry for De Ligt when I see how they overlook all the good things he does, focusing on his rare mistakes.

Agree with some of that but Casemiro only started getting criticism after months of awful displays.
I don’t think anyone is singling out De Ligt. He’s been decent without being brilliant.

I have no idea how Antony won man of the match in his first appearance for Betis from the highlights and match data.
Obviously between them they don’t paint the complete picture, but his passing was wayward, he attempted one (failed) take-on all game, his sole registered defensive intervention was one (failed) attempted tackle, and he contributed very little in terms of progressive carrying or passing.
Anyone watch the whole game?

Meanwhile Sancho getting hooked off tonight against Brighton. Think he's scored 1 goal and a couple of assists in the past 4 months. Another one who can't translate his continental success to the PL.

Might in the minority but I think he was a worse signing than Antony.

The trouble is once we get a bee in our bonnet about a player we completely lose all sense of perspective. Whether it's Pogba, Sancho or Antony.
For a while I thought Sancho was a top player who'd suffered from the malaise at United, but it seems he's just a pretty average PL player.

He’s a fine player when his team is on too and playing well. He usually disappears in any bit of adversity though.
