Last night saw the, at times to varying degrees, much maligned afore mentioned three, all perform to the highest standard required in this attritional league.
All three were basically imperious, quite exceptional.
Aaronson has worked hard and has gone from the often described, ( harshly maybe), 'headless chicken' to the ultimate 'duracell man'.
Piroe's had some critics on here but that goal last night ultimately was why a lot of us watch footy.
The so called boring Gruev gave a master class in defensive midfield and suspect will be chosen over Joe for away games for most of the remainder of this season. Can you remember last night where he blocked an opponent by literally jumping into then doing what looked like a 'Stand to attention' move?
Are there still any doubters or have a few been converted?

BA pass to put Piroe through before DJ scored ... sublime.
As for Gruev .... I just think he does a role that will rarely get the limelight. Maybe a good reason why we're not conceding, playing his part in shielding the backline.

VOF, correct about BA pass ...watched again this morning, he was under a lot of pressure just to get control of the ball and keep it away from the defender but somehow, in a split second, did that and at th same time had the vision to see the run and execute a fast ball through a small space at exactly the right pace so Piroe didn't have to break his stride.
Am surprised this hasn't been mentioned at all previously.
Sublime indeed.

But can appreciate why people do like him, and it sure seems to be working away.
As we saw over weekend, people are desperate for us too lose, so they can say they were right.
Its absolutely bizarre, so no I dont think some will hold their hands up and say they got it badly wrong.

Dont think i have even seen dong or lowlife saying they wanted us to lose. I will wait for you to give us these names. Just because i dont rate aaronson who has lost possesion over twice as many times as the next player to him in the stats doesnt mean i want him to play bad or for leeds to lose. As for gruev and Mes, never had a problem with either and Piroe who i have said is best finisher in league but doesnt do enough is the best we have so no problem there but yes i do have a problem with aaronson but dont want him to play bad or leeds lose so once again give us these names

I'm not an Aaronson fan but commented on the matchday thread about the pinpoint pass to Piroe.
I thought Gruev would struggle to get back in the team after injury but he's improving, solid defending and a few nice forward passes show's he's got more in the locker. Piroe generally a clinical finisher and looking a more complete striker now linking up play also. James steady improvement in all area's. Tanaka, well he's just diff gear. Mes as mentioned just getting on with it. Too many good players to mention......................... No one on here wants Leeds to lose.

There were so many brilliant moments in the game, especially when you think we had our lowest possession stats for the season. This was an outstanding team performance and for the first time, I don't care about anyone else's results. If we can keep playing at this level, no-one will be able to stop us.

Any game we drop points in than we should look at teams behind us, but its upto the others to take points from us, and thinking we're good enough to win more, the pressure'll be more on them than us!..
