So Liverpool want to be more competitive in Europe and to make that happen they want a bigger share of the money, making the likes of us less competitive in the premier league than we already are by giving us less money. How much money have Liverpool wasted over the last 5 years resulting in them nearly going bust 12 months ago.
How much money do they want, due to the amount of times the top 4 or so are live on Sky they already eclipse what the likes of Blackburn earn. Their shirt sales alone must generate millions.
Yes ok give us less money so that you can be successful in Europe, cheer's.
Greed.

It's all relative. I bet no- one called you greedy
as a result though?

In the grand scheme of things our naming are very small compared to the extra revenue you stand to gain ......

I'm sorry, but your comment reeks of hypocrisy. As I said, it's all relative. Bolton might not even be a Premier League side now-a-days if it wasn't for the income generated from Reebok. But how much have they made by being a Premier League side during that time? A damn site more than we would make from a TV deal, that's for sure.

If your bothered about about us using the naming rights, why don't you rename your stadium, its a level playing field, rather than suggesting you should be able to get your own tv rights?

A 2-tier Premier League, including Rangers and Celtic anyone?
I remember that suggestion.

Let's imagine pies. The premier league money is now a pie. All the teams take an equal share. However some teams think that they've done more so they should get a bigger piece of pie. If they got that piece, the rest would get a small piece. Naming your stadium is like getting a smaller pie just for yourself, the rest may be envious but it won't affect them.

"The strange thing about all of this is that Liverpool were knocked for not making a good transition into the prem era and were accused of failing to capitalise on the commercial benefits. Now people are saying the opposite. We really can't win."
In a very long thread this comment stands out. Liverpool failed to capitalise at the height of their fame at the start of the PL era and have suffered ever since. They are only playing catch up.

It would'nt work cos Barselona worlds biggest club only get about 20 million euros from worldwide sales they get most of there money from within spain so i cannot see liverpool doing better than them
