Sheffield Utd have won their last 4 games, we are now unbeaten in 15.
No doubt the atmosphere will be hostile and our players will be the subject of some industrial tackles but we are playing so well and get a result tonight we should be closing in on promotion.

Personally, I don’t have much issue with Meslier. Yes, he does easily get ruffled by a mistake when he makes one and loos vulnerable for the next few touches he has on the ball, like happened today when he kicked an overhit ball out of play soon after the own goal.
If he can out that part right, it will improve him no end. I’d be interested to know what the sport psychologist’s perspective is about Ilan.

Yep spot on. The game was a great example of who Meslier is as a keeper. Very capable and can make great saves.
But when things start to go wrong he can crumble and the fear is written all over his face. Mistakes start to happen.
But a couple of decent but expected stops and his confidence grew and he looked assured for pretty much the last hour of the game. Made decent stops, handled the ball well and was really good with his feet.
I think we have had quite a few players who struggle with the pressure. Meslier, Bamford, Roberts, maybe Joseph. Compare that to Piroe….. maybe it’s not a sports psychologist but a few joints that they need?

Maybe I was a bit OTT last night - It was at the time and emotion was running the nbetter of me. A lot at stake. Easy to look back after a win and pull comments apart.
However, hes fine for this league but if we go up we need better thats for certain. Id keep him if we can though as back up to whoever we sign.
