I hope that Chile is o.k and that he will post again?
Tonight is a lip smacking cup game under the light's with the prospect of an away game against Brighton & Hove next, should we get through. Never take anything for granted as a Forest fan.
This takes me back to the 1978 Charity Shield match at the old Wembley; we beat Town 5-0 with goals by,Martin O'Neil [2], Peter Withe, John Robertson and Larry Lloyd. Town were managed by the late great Bobby Robson.

Ipswich have been awful, but we haven’t been able to put them away.
Looking like a penalty lottery coming up.

If we can’t beat relegation canon fodder over 120 minutes what chance to we have against a Man City team that has found a bit of form.
Worrying times.

Not enough quality from Forest tonight.

Ipswich have never been involved in a penalty shoot out in the FA Cup, so 100% record will be preserved by them, whatever the outcome.

Sels save the last penalty to give us a 5-4 win, wow, that was close.
We probably deserved to win overall but we are so wasteful, particularly on putting balls into the box.
Onto BHA away in the next round, while Man Utd put their feet up for the weekend before playing us on the Tuesday or Wednesday.
And of course we haven’t the other side of Manchester with their feet up this weekend.
Nightmare.

Only just.
Doesn't bode well for the league.

My perspective is less negative. It took another penalty shootout but we’re through so I’m more than happy. As for the league? Still all to play for. I don’t believe it will necessarily be determined by how we’ve performed in the Cup. City will be tough and they’ll be less tired but they can still be beaten.
You Reds!

Possibly the most astounding thing to come out of tonight’s game, Sels got Player of the match, whilst I admit he did nothing wrong, he barely had anything to do at all, other than make the match winning save.
He’s an excellent keeper, who I admire a lot, but I don’t really think he deserved POTM, sure Yates or Murillo were more deserving.
Just my opinion.
Let the players get plenty of rest and be ready for City on Saturday, think it will be a bit more of a test, though still doable.
