The fans at OT last night

Take a bow , guys , take a bow

To those who gave up on the team and left the ground when we went down 2 - 4 , shame on ya

And finally , a special shout-out to that young lad who was in tears when all hopes seemed to be lost but moments later was in his dad's arms celebrating Maguire's winner

A special moment like that goes way beyond football ...

The atmosphere at Old Trafford last night

Oh what a night!

So much history at OT is going to be lost when they knock it down

It was absolutely amazing. I've lost my voice a bit, and I didn't even really celebrate when we scored the penalty because it still didn't feel like it was on.

I more than made up for it on the next two goals though. I was actually glad that a couple of people next to me had left at 4-2 because it gave me some room to work with

It was renovated before and could have been again

Imo the scvmbag owners have purposely neglected it so they could get their shiny new stadium

My 10yr old little Nephew was at the game with his dad.
He called me after the game, we were on the phone for an hour... that little lad is never gonna forget this night.
When they showed that kid on TV, who must be around the same age, i was getting emotional, knowing my Nephew was going through the same thing.

His dad wanted to thank me for making him his son a UTD fan. He said his boy watched me over the last few years, and the passion i have for UTD was what made him want to become a UTD fan.

and now to have experienced That live... I'm made up!

Just imagine if they left early, never forgive himself of depriving his lad such a special footballing moment.
Have to win it now. 😄

The internal concourses etc just are not suitable for renovation, the substructure of the ground is very old including the plumbing, wiring etc it’s a building that has reached the end of its life cycle,
I sit in the lower north stand in the centre, last season I took my daughter to watch the ladies derby at OT and we sat in one of the lower quadrants new standing section and I was appalled at the facilities and the internal structure in fact amazed it could pass health and safety checks.
I always wanted the club to expand the south stand over the railway line to complete the ground but the neglect has left it too late and stadium design has moved on.

Oh, that would’ve been tragic, especially that they were booked in at GNevs Hotel Football for the night.
But again, maybe it was something I said to his dad, that when I went to games, no matter the result I’m staying right to the end.
I never took my trips to O.T for granted. You never know when it could be the last time, and I just soaked it all up, even on the bad days.

I think we'd all love that but the simple truth is they just cant.

They could probably do a bit of a patch job and get it OK for a few years but it would cost a fortune and would sink further and further behind.

I can't see how OT could ever be renovated to a truly modern stadium. In 25 years time, the right move will have been to build a new one and as sad as it is, future proofing the club needs doing.

In the OP, I feel a touch harsh saying shame on them. Whilst it's never something I've done, at that point, I can understand the frustration. It looked very grim and I can understand the decision to leave
United have taught me that there's always a chance of something mad happening though, so wouldn't ever be something I'd do. My lad and I were at the Brentford comeback and he talks about that feeling to this day. I'd personally rather get home at 2am than sacrifice the potential for that sort of thing but I get why not everyone really can or would.

Be absolutely gutting though, I reckon that's punishment enough.

I was certainly regretting going to the game for quite a bit of ET last night.

We went out for drinks after work and were sitting in the beer garden and I would have liked to have stayed for a few more. I could have watched the game in the pub and still got the last train home.

But I don’t think I’ve ever left a United match early since the 1994 FA Cup semi at Wembley when we missed Hughes’ last-gasp equaliser.

And it’s safe to say that by the final whistle last night I was glad I went to the match. I think I might actually have got the very last ticket in the Stretford End so obviously it was just destiny

Some say Destiny but I call that FATE…. Cos fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing.
