Wolves are on a nice little unbeaten run and confidence is high. For United, league form isn't so strong but after an incredible come back against Lyon in Fergie time of extra time, their confidence will have been boosted. A strenuous 120 + minute Thursday night work out will be welcome though in WV1 and surrounding postcodes.
It is possible that we could leapfrog United if we beat them by 4 clear goals, I'm certainly not banking on that but I think there is every chance that we can catch them over the remaining 6 games if Vitor can keep his squad focused.
Doherty and Bellegarde had to be replaced early last Sunday so changes are possible. Cunha will want to audition for a future role at Old Trafford no doubt but will likely start from the bench again given JSL's form.
Fancy us to extend this run 1-2. Pint of Abbot please Vitor, I'll be in spoons about half 8 ish

I've a horrible feeling that there won't be any bids above the threshold but he'll still want to move and he'll end up doing a Nunes ro force a move.
Or they send him on loan somewhere and he flops and he'll and up back at Compton next summer. Tongue not completely in cheek here by the way.

In Spain it’s the law that if a club wants to sign someone with a release clause then the transfer fee must be paid in full to complete the transfer
In England the terms of payment are negotiated and if the selling club feels the length of instalments payments is too long, they can say no to the transfer even if the release clause level has been reached
In reality Wolves will likely receive a few offers for Cunha and the player will negotiate his salary and Wolves will negotiate the terms of payment. This really isn’t a big deal as I’m sure agreement will be reached in both cases.

Evidently, it might be easier for the club and the player to agree the terms of the release clause, than it is for us to agree on what a release clause actually is!

Ten years ago this summer Pereira was on the verge of becoming manager of Glasgow Rangers. It came around the time they had been relegated to League Two for financial irregularities. They got promoted from League Two and League One at the first attempt and Pereira had been offered the job if rangers went on to get promoted back to the Premier League from the Championship. But they missed out of promotion in the play offs and Pereira walked away.

Wolves are top of the current form tables for the Premier League having got 5 wins and a draw from our last 6 matches. Not only that we are second only to PSG in a current form table across the top 5 leagues in Europe.
If we can beat Leicester on Saturday we will make it 18 points from our last 6 games which will make us the top team in Europe on current form.

Correct and their last victory in that run was against us. Before that sequence they had 2 draws. Be fitting if we could better that run.

See that Thelwell is going to Rangers. Seems to have developed himself a decent reputation on the back of being made virtually redundant by Fosun, and nearly relegating Everton after spending half a billion.
