If you look at Progress stats, Colchester are a team which has come near to emulating Rovers great run this time last year. They came unstuck temporarily vs Bradford after initially dominating and yet failing to score. Bradford pulled themselves together and largely through hard work eventually won comfortably. So perhaps Rovers need to maintain pressure and put in the effort and they have just as much to strive for as Colchester whose grip on the play-offs is secured solely on GD.
With such an attractive end in sight and a home crowd to encourage them, Rovers ought surely to be able to at last to make the ideal environment tell.
I think that for once we really deserve a memorable performance because it's difficult to think of of the last time we saw one - if indeed there have been any!
So, neck sticking out, I'm going for 3-0 (Molyneux, Sterry.

A must win for sure if we want auto-promotion, and, as Donaldo says, the crowd should help. I find two clean sheets in a row difficult for the Rovers, and so I'll say 3-1 with Street getting the first, Molyneix if Street does not start.
I hope McCann starts Crewe and Ennis which will add youthful enthusiasm and some skill!

A frustrating 1-1. Anderson, Street

Both teams have something to play for and will be giving 100%. Here's hoping that Rovers handle the pressure better. 3-1 to Rovers. Street with the first.

That was the best first half I’ve seen for a long time. Effort, accurate passing, an end product , skill and real entertainment.

Moly must be worth a bit of lolly now. Not sure what his contract is with Rovers. What a joy to see a player willing to take on other players rather than pass sideways or backwards. Not all over just yet but it's looking good.

A hatrick on Friday, and two assists today, and part in the third goal - WOW! If he is not voted League Two POY, the judges can't have seen these two games. The assist on the second was amazing - I've not seen many plays like that on the Premier League.
Mc Cann has brought several players up to the standard he saw in them, Mols being a great example.
I wish he could do the same for Gibson. I know he scored, but I would not have started him.
Saturday is going to be tough, hopefully not in the physical way several times against Bradford - and I include the supporters in that plea. We are on an edge with the EFL over pitch invasions.
Pity this game is too early for this old man, but so far the Rovers are doing well when I have not watched!

Yes, after a fine first half, what they did in the second half showed something about the team which we have not really witnessed in the 43 preceding games. It was a mature defence, a sublime performance compared with previous occasions when the collective stance would be best described as “hanging on”.
Yesterday they relaxed and effectively sent a message to Colchester which read “We are going to sit back now, you can have a go, but you won’t get past us”. And they didn’t; we stopped them from being dangerous and passed the ball out of defence in a way I’ve not seen before. It was as though the whole team had been given a confidence injection.
I think Molyneux signed for another 3 years, certainly 2.

Yes he's here to June 2027 unless he's sold.
