My wife just passed away on the 3rd of April after a short illness, and when Leeds were promoted after the Burnley Sheffield game, I wanted to share my joy with her physically, but I did it spiritually, and the mixed emotions were very deep.
My dearest wife was my world, we got married 26 years ago in Jersey Channel Islands, but I knew her since 1980...we had no children but were so happy together...
Just wanted to share this news with you as it helps me, as my Mum used to say problems shared problems halved...she was only 61, I'm 66.
I'll never get over this heartbreaking pain of losing her, but I'll get used to it over time.
I'm echoeing 'Real estate' father who also died around the same time and he had mixed emotions too.

Thinking of you at this awful time. The Leeds family will always be here if you need to chat with anyone.

Life is really tough.
It's punctuated with moments of extreme grief that nothing really teaches us to deal with.
I hope that my wife dies before me so that she wont have to go through the grief that I know I will feel.
Sorry to hear your news and hope that you of course have lots of great memories and that hope that you find something good comes from something bad.

Thanks Jonty, have to pick up the pieces and navigate with the help of my wife who's holding my hand constantly for the rest of my life.

NJS comment about “Grieving is the price we pay for loving…” is so right and choked me up abit 🙏

Thx LIW, you're right about NJS's comments, spot on.

My condolences MRU. I can’t imagine being without my wife. It must be so hard.
Time is a healer but first you have to grieve….and you are correct in that sharing helps. These days we can share, not only with close friends and family but also with others we don’t actually know. I’m sure that helps much more than bottling it all up.
Let’s hope we can go up as Champions for her and all the Leeds fans we’ve lost recently.
ALAW 🌹

Stoopo your comment was very kind, thx, sometimes I can't believe she's gone. One sees life in a different perspective after such a loss, as Jonty said 'something good can sometimes happen out of something bad'. Thanks.

Midsummer Night’s Dream

For you, in my respect, are all the world.
Then how can it be said I am alone
When all the world is here to look on me?
