So despite the growing injury list

again to key players, it is basically down to just a two game season now for Spurs. Thursday and a possible final on the 21st.

Wit the news that Maddison is likely to be joining Bergvall as not going to be available again this season, then it is a blow, but because basically Spurs only need to negotiate a couple more games this season to end up with a trophy and CL, not insurmountable. Firstly do not have to even win on Thursday, just avoid defeat by less than two goals, then the season will be down to one game, and is it to much to ask from one monumental effort from the players that are available to turn up for the biggest game of the season, the Europa Final.

At the start of the season, I suppose Bergvall was not a first pick, so realistically only Maddison will be a miss, up to players like Bissouma and Sarr to step up to the plate in just a couple of games. Would help as well if Kulu was to rediscover his form before any potential cup final, and where is Son? He needs to be getting some time on the pitch, if he is to be considered for a starting place should Spurs get to a final.

Good thing is though, the best defence is still intact, and I think that is absolutely vital in the two games they will be needed. Could not imagine going into a final without Porro, Micky, Romero and Udogie in tandem. The backup defenders don`t exactly fill me with confidence.

So in essence, just need to defend properly Thursday, to make the final. Then in the final, need players to just give it 100 per cent, and put on a performance like at City and United earlier in the season.

I still have nightmares about the last European Final, when the whole team never turned up. Just don`t want a repeat of that. And I don`t think we will get it. The players don`t need any motivation to know what is at stake the next two cup games. It`s win or bust.

So here`s to the first part coming up this week. Then in three weeks time the Holy Grail may have been reached.

The Europa League final is a banker. United are awful against any PL opposition - look at our league form since December.

Get past Bodo and you’ve won the trophy.

Mate this is spurs we are talking about ffs.

I have a hunch that Bergvall will be back if we make the final. Think they are being cautious with him. Whether he gets any game time before then, I doubt. So not ideal either way.

I am worried about Maddison. He went down under no challenge. That's rarely a good thing and any slight tweak if the knee usually is weeks out and it's only 3 weeks recovery to the 21st.

If we didn't have bad luck, we'd have no luck at all. 2 key midfielders in decent form possibly out. Deki needs to get his mojo back because we are pretty blunt in CM without those 2.

As I said earlier though Devon6m, whilst not ideal missing two midfielders, I think with just two matches to winning a trophy, Spurs may be able to ride it out. Don't really need any creativity on Thursday, just need to stay solid. Then in a final just need the best 90 minutes from all those available. If say Spurs were just at the start of the knockouts, then it could be a huge problem.

Having said that I don't get where all these long term injuries are coming from. Very few seem to be from injuries sustained whilst playing.

Maddison confirmed out for season

What does that mean though? A few weeks or ACL?

As usual Sky spending hours talking about TAA leaving Liverpool without a mention of Spurs probably missing two of their best midfielders for a European semi final.

Not heard a thing about Maddison having a season ending injury.

Ah I see he's being assessed for ligament damage still. Well now we really need Eze.

Very suspicious. Not talking conspiracy, but what goes on behind closed doors and all that. Son. Bergval. Now Maddison? Like you said, all off the pitch.

Bergvall with a (medical) 'boot' like a car rolled over his foot, I mean my inquisitive mind can all be put down to seeing that shower curtain at the emirates. After seeing that, im like seriously, that's gotta be intentional to make a mockery of fans like it's all scripted. Being reminded of Lucas Moura being left out of the CL Final also made no sense. Managers being fired in the middle of the game. Being told by news bulletin that, quote, "Harry Redknapp is not being fired" only to wake up the next day to the news that he was indeed fired 🤔
