Priority Number One

Once the dust settles, what will it be? Renewal of contracts? Replacing outgoing players? Or new striker?

For me it has to be the last. You only have to look at our league position and then the top scorers chart, and wonder what might have been had we had the firepower to kill off games instead of dropping points from leading positions.

Havertz is a great player and I want to keep him but he isn't a dyed-in-the-wool predatory goalscorer. We need someone for whom racking up goal after goal out of almost nothing is second nature. We need a Van Nistelrooy.

Who would your choice be? Isak? Sesko? Gyokeres? Or none of the above?

No priority.
We need to get the contracts done, sign a striker, DM, LW, back up GK. All should be ongoing already, and pretty far down the line.

I would go for Gyokeres.

Then we need to bolster the squad up.

First of all, the victory over Newcastle was important and deserved. Secondly, the Arsenal team for next season will have many new faces, let's get rid of this clown goalkeeper for starters. Because of the number of new players expected it will take time to assess what kind of a team we will have. Don't have a lot of hope anticipated for the Gunners, right now, for the Gunners next season!

Most summers we identify 5/6 goals and usually the club do about half.

Absolute non-negotiable is a striker.

Defensive mid not so far behind that, assuming its Zubi. Not convinced by him in Europa but i guess he's highly rated for a reason

Other than that some competition on the left would be nice, but I think we'd have run out of money by then for anyone better than Martinelli.

We have £200-£300m, Gyokeres and Zubimendi only make a small dent in that.

How have we gone from bargain bucket of Sterling to £300m lol?

Outgoings will likely be Zinchenko for £20m ish and thats about it in terms of transfer fees

By getting Sterling. That's how PSR works.

You think we are signing a striker and DM for £20m??? 😂

Two questions regarding a striker:
- Would Arsenal be interested in Harry Kane?
- Would Harry Kane be interested in Arsenal?

I assume we'll be at our normal summer budget of about 120-140m net? Cant see more than that but happy to be proven wrong.
Zubi is meant to be about £50m so about £80-90m feels about right. I don't see a £100m+ striker on the market, Isak isnt going anywhere

Not convinced by Gyokeres as an absolute top level striker but I'd probably say he's the best option in the market at the moment. I like Sesko but he's young and expectations would be massive, not quite progressed this season as much as people hoped
