Now that the season is (almost) over, it's time to assess our summer signings—plus Timber, since this has been his first full season.
1) Raya
Easily the signing of the summer. He’s been incredibly consistent, and his distribution with his feet is top-class. Yes, his aggressive style means he occasionally makes mistakes, but overall he’s been a fantastic addition. He's also improved in dealing with crosses. 9/10
2) Timber
Mr. Reliable. He’s barely put a foot wrong, which is even more impressive considering he spent much of last season injured. He's been solid defensively, but I’d love to see him contribute more in attack. 8/10
3) Merino
Interestingly, his best performances have come when filling in up front—something he wasn’t signed for. While he's shown he can play as a striker, he hasn’t nailed down a spot in midfield or really delivered there.
As a striker: 7/10
As a midfielder: 6/10
4) Calafiori
Quite tricky to judge him. At times he looks good and then he gets injured and struggles to get back in the team. Was expecting him to play more at CB but looks like Arteta doesn't rate him there. MLS's emergence is not good for him. He has a big challenge next season to compete with MLS. He is a beautiful man though. If I saw him in bed with my wife, I’d tuck him in and ask if he wanted a cup of tea. 6/10
5) Sterling
A lot of fans were skeptical of this loan, and unfortunately, those doubts proved right. Despite hopes he could rediscover his Liverpool/City form, it just hasn’t worked out. He’s had chances but failed to make an impact. Wishing him the best wherever he goes next. 4/10
6) Neto
Signed as backup for Raya, but even that’s a stretch. With just one appearance all season and being cup-tied in the League Cup, he's barely featured. Hard to judge his performance, really—he’s just collected a paycheck. 5/10

Sterling gets a 1/10

4 is very kind for Sterling.
Signing a cup tied Neto was pretty silly. Lucky to get 5.
You include Timber but not our actual summer signing Calafiori?

I would agree with most of this, but I rate Sterling as a solid 2/10 & Neto 4/10.

As others have said Sterling is a 1 assuming you cant go to zero. An absolute shambles.
Merino as a midfielder (which is what we signed him as) I'd give a 4 at best. Slow, not great in the tackle, average in 50/50s, average on the ball - a very strange signing.
Timber has shown why we bought him and why we might have won the league last year had he not got that injury, such a quality player. Got everything you'd want and can play multiple positions 8/10
Calafiori I'm not convinced by, he seems a bit reckless and easily beaten but he's young and will improve (hopefully). Due to injuries I'd refrain from rating him yet.
Raya excellent yeah, a few dodgy moments here and there but pretty much the same as every keeper - 8/10
