Back! Three!

Yoro, Dalot, and Zirkzee are back in training ahead of the game tomorrow.

What a boost it would be to have them available! If Zirkzee can give us an hour then I'd throw him in up front. He'll look after the ball better than Hojlund. Rasmus could well be better off the bench.

Surely Dalot and Zirkzee aren't going to be anywhere near match fit which is a massive risk for a game this big?

Ye ridiculous to suggest otherwise especially when razmahass been ok in europa

Dalot hasn't been off for that long, so I think he could start. Zirkzee would be an option on the bench. We simply have to have an alternative if it's not working for Rasmus. Since Zirkzee hasn't featured our form has gone from bad to worse.

I'd guess we will want to defend from the front at the start of a final, which means Hojlund's pace and work rate brings some value in an area that even a fit Zirkzee wouldn't be able to provide as much. Also, with Spurs' high line a vulnerability, having a forward who can run in behind should pose questions for them, even if Hojlund isn't in the form to punish them if chances come his way.

Great if Zirkzee is fit enough to be an option off the bench though - his link-up play could set a different challenge for Spurs as they begin to tire.

No idea if Yoro is ready, or if Heaven will be risked. Shaw I guess will play LCB. I'd like it if we didn't see Lindelof at any point in the game.

Dalot could be useful from the bench, particularly if we're defending a lead. His height and physicality are pluses. Same with Zirkzee.

* forgot we may well have Mazraoui if Amad is deployed at wing back.

I addressed that point, but at the same time, they're not going to just not bother marking him, are they?

I don’t see why not seeing as he seems to run away from the ball.

I'd suggest our "high line vulnerability" is probably best exploited by your wide players, not through the middle. because Van De Ven is rapid and his presence makes a massive difference to us.

I will be interested to see what approach United take.

If we are without Maddison, Kulusevski and Bergvall then our midfield becomes very functional and far less technical and playing out from the back may put us in a lot of bother. On this basis i don't expect us to control possession and think we'll go direct quite quickly.

So if you high press with Rasmus' energy then may be it gets bypassed. It's kinda what we did in the QF and SF although Madders was key in those games.

I suspect you may pack the midfield, invite us on a bit and then try and hit us from fast wide positions, rather than press us at the back.

As a Spurs fan I will feel better if i see Rasmus on teh team sheet than say a false 9, because i think that suggests may be a little bit more space for us across the pitch, if / when we break a high press.
