Bryan Mbuemo

If the funds are there, just like Cunha he's a player we should be all over.

I've mentioned it a few times on other threads but we really need to start looking more in the PL proven market (and I don't mean free transfers for players past their best like Evans & Eriksen)

In the last number of years we haven't signed many at all from the PL and seem to be bring in many players from the likes of Serie A which clearly isn't working.

Mbuemo is 25, in the last year of his contract and while he's been a good PL player since Brentford got promoted he seems to have gone up another level this season and is only behind Salah & Isak on goal contributions.

I hate to use Liverpool as a benchmark but their success under Klopp that has continued under Slot has been helped massively by buying proven PL players in or around their mid twenties. (VVD, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Mac Allister, Mane)

Cunha & Mbuemo in and hopefully Rashford, Sancho & Antony out would make us much stronger in attack even before we bring in a better CF imo.

Mbuemo would be an excellent signing for most clubs in the league.

Not sure on Cunha but Mbuemo could easily score twenty plus for a top team. Don’t know where he fits in in United’s 7-3 system though.

It's actually a 352 / 3331 / 532 hybrid system that can be slightly tweaked to a 343 with Mbuemo fitting as one of the 3/2/1s just in front of the midfield two /three.

Semenyo at Bournemouth looks more exciting than Mbuemo although not as productive (though he doesn’t take pens).

Agree on the PL proven aspect, it does help a lot lessen the risk of players just being completely unable to hack the pace/physicality aspect of the league like Antony, despite clearly having the skill/talent.

Mbuemo?? It’s another bargain bin signing like Cunha. Neither are good enough!

We should be flirting with players like Gyokeres, Sesko and Wirtz. Top players will always sign for us.

Nice one Process.

I can't say i disagree with most of what you have said.

My only concern, I do believe the pressure at this club is like nothing else. Rashford looked decent for Villa.

Elanga is having a wonderful season.

AWB just voted Hammers player of the season.

It appears this is where talent comes to die.

I’d be more impressed with Mbeumo signing the I would Cunha, I just think Cunha is an attitude problem waiting to happen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What attitude?

This club lacks characters and players with attitudeZ cantona had attitude if you want to go down that route.

I am tired of robotic players with robotic answers during interviews.

We want characters. We want enigmas!

How about any of the Palace front 3? They seem to be able to put in a good shift and have the right kind of attitude and know what the EPL is all about

Such a tough call on players who can genuinely step up to top level teams (van Dijk, Rice, Mane) and players who suit that level just under it and struggle when they sign for a big team (Matheus Nunes, Richarlison, Pedro Neto)

I suspect Mbeumo is the latter and Cunha is the former, though I do like Mbeumo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cunha has already flopped for title chasing Leipzig and Atletico Madrid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I've seen this narrative desperately trying to take hold. He was at Leipzig aged 19-20 and did quite well but wasn't ready to be a regular starter. He was at Atletico for a season and a half at the age of 22-23, still a young player and not quite clear yet what his best position was. He has really kicked on in the last two seasons in the PL, as he has hit maturity as a player.

No idea if he's the right target for United.

The problem isn't where players come from, it's that your recruitment and overall football strategy have been sheeeet ever since Fergie left.

Go tell City they should focus on signing more Grealishes than De Bruynes, or Liverpool that they have too many Van Dijks, Salahs or Alissons.

Jingoistic boolasheet.
