on another European night of glory, special mention for
Ange, first trophy for Spurs in 17 years
Ange, first European for Spurs in 41 years
Daniel Levy, stuck with the manager
Myself, stuck with both Levy and Ange, took the abuse. But in the end proved 100 per cent correct in predicting Spurs to target and win the Europa back in August. Few apologies wouldn't go amiss. Hopefully Ted will be donating the £20 charity bet he lost.
The match itself was a masterclass in defending properly with the best defence on offer. And of course there was one or two scares, but that was to be expected.
Best news of all though, is that Ange says he wants to stay. Could be the first of many trophies under him.
The prize last night of course was a trophy, CL next season, and a chance to win the Supercup with a match against PSG or Inter. Three for the price of one.
Happy Days. Am at WHL on Sunday, so will get a chance to see my fourth Spurs European trophy.
COYS
PS Spare a few tears for Woolwich. Spurs ended up having a better season.
Now that the dust has finally settled

I'd be tempted now to give him another summer, judge him again at Christmas. Could quite easily blow up in your face though
---
Given that we've apparently brought Paratici back to do some signings I don't think keeping Ange really leaves us at risk of anything terrible happening. It's not like he's Conte or Mourinho making wild demands for expensive ageing players.
If we're still crap and have to switch in January there'd be plenty of time to save the season and a young squad with lots of potential

Congrats. Well done to ange, gutting for us, but you defended very well

great work Spurs
lovely to see another English team out side the norm win a trophy, even better at the expense of United
and it must be hard work being a spurs fan, so well done .. never particularly 'liked' spurs because some fans do baffle me - but am well pleased for you 'normal' spurs fans.. the actual spurs fans, not just anti-arsenal fans.. 'we're city till July" thing drained a lot of respect across the footballing globe I think... that aside... fair play and well done

drawing the line there mate... no way, you can predict a win every week and at some point you get it right.. even a broken clock etc etc etc

Despite your horrendous league form Ange has demonstrated that he can get his team to play a different way. He comes across as very good man manager and didn't crumble under the immense pressure from the media.
He deserves a chance after lifting that trophy monkey off the clubs back.
Congratulations Tottenham.

If Levy sacks him after that. I would find it hard to continue following Spurs. He backed him all season. We don’t want to be the type of club that doesn’t reward success. Akin to Poch again. He should have credit in the bank. We wanted a rebuild and we got one and he also delivered one of footballs biggest prizes.
Now if Ange decides to leave after all the slack. That’s a different story.

Totally agree, the abuse Ange has got especially on this board has been frankly embarrassing

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Man I didn’t think losing the finals in 2021 and 2023 would ever be topped but this 2025 final loss is the worst as Spurs were so bad for 96 of the 97 minutes.
I give up on football after today. Never seen Man Utd being such a bunch of bottlejobs as yesterday. Amorim first manager that plays first team against Chelsea and 2nd team against Spurs.
