In hindsight I don't think you make stuff up, you just relay headlines without any research. It's a bit 'grandad on Facebook' vibes and while it's perhaps not malicious, I do think you should hold yourself to a higher standard cos you're clearly capable.

Fair enough, that might be true. I feel like you've done it on a few things lately but you likely have just been wumming and I'm not gonna trawl through the live thread to look for them.

Well look it’s end of season and maybe I have winner a bit but it’s a lightweight sports forum. It’s more than decent of you to show some hindsight though, so fair play. I shouldn’t have put that twitter post in this thread though! I’ll happily admit that. Genuine apologies.

Guess I'm not as bothered about us winning a trophy as much as most but I do want to see lessons learned and progress made. From our already good position trophies would come anyway.

What we saw this year was several of Arteta's weaknesses showing, too defensive, not getting rotation right and again the biggest feck up (by the club and manager) failing to sort out the CF issue.

If I see those issues addressed next season and we still get pipped to the various trophies on offer but are doing things right then that's fine, continue to improve and they'll eventually come.

*that said if I was a Spurs fan I'd probably rather have had their season. The clubs are in different places squad wise and most of us on here have seen Arsenal take home league titles so it's different.
