I've been Brennan Johnson's biggest critic, saying he offers absolutely nothing except a tap in and that should sell him.
But I can't say anything to him anymore.
He is now a legend for the club.
The winning goal in a European cup final.
You can't get bigger than that.
Especially after all the abuse in September and him deleting his Twitter.
So BJ I owe you an apology.
Hope you absolutely smash it next season too.
COYS!
BJ I'm Sorry!

He contributes plenty of goals, even if he looks pretty anonymous. I suspect with time he will become a big, big player with Spurs.
Could never understand all the stick he got earlier in the season. Same fans though that hate Levy and Ange in all probability. Pretty clueless.

I've always rated Johnson. He's a winger who gets lots of goals and assists, what's not to like?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's something Ange was very hot on up here - if the other winger or striker has the ball out wide you need to get yourself into the 6yd area pronto.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What i would like to see more of from BJ is movement. He too often waits for balls to feet, when we build up, and he needs to be a genuine out ball. If we are having to clear a ball from defence then target his channel and have him expecting it and on the move. In slower build ups, just dropping a bit and then spinning and running into the space behind, just stretching the defence even if he's not receiving it. He doesn't make enough selfless runs
Its these sorts of actions then I do question the coach on because we don't seem to have these sorts of patterns of play. If you watch Liverpool, they do it a lot with Salah. A long clearance out in to his channel and he's not reacting to it, he's already moving and it becomes a great pass because they are on the same wave length.
It just helps relieve pressure some times, gives us an option different to just trying to pass out from the back, can get us up the pitch and utilise BJs pace.

I remember when some mug on here called him a hindrance early on, he then went on to score in the next 6 or 7 games 😂😂😂

Credit to the spurs fans that forced him off social media early in the season.
It's allowed him to concentrate on his game and it's paid off. 1-0 to the hounders.

OP I m still out on him....But he is doing the right thing and I admit that...That's as far as it will go

He puts the ball in the back of the net… that’s it… I’ve never seen him dribble past his marker, ever… or whip crosses in… I’d still sell him, if a decent offer comes in… Son & Richy too… Son is past it, unfortunately… Tichy injury prone… Johnson just not good enough… I prefer Odobert… Jury out on Tel…

He's a striker playing on the wing.
