Afternoon allš
So, just been reading something on here that put me in mind of what I would set as realistic targets for the next 3 years if I was owner of LUFC.
[1] Remain a Premier League team.
[2] Top 10 finish by the 3rd year.
[3] Semi-final of a domestic cup competition.
What you say?
Realistic 3-year targets

Depends on our recruitment and whether Farke makes the grade. Staying up is imperative but we should he targeting Wembley for FA cup semi final next season too.

Finishing above United should do it for you.

Not if that means 19th.

I must admit that I was a bit sad when Erik ten Hag was sacked, thought he wasn't given enough time and he definitely had them going in the right direction. However, every cloud and all that...this guy Amorim is on his way to legend status.

After seeing how we got 100 points and should have had 100 goals, I can't see any reason why, with the money we will be able to spend, we shouldn't be able to finish somewhere between 10th and 15th. Right now, we would be on a par with Everton, Man U, Tottenham, West Ham and Wolves. If we get a minimum of four Premier Level signings, I can't see us going down.
The next level for me is Palace and above. Those teams are just too quick, too strong and too well-organised. I'll say it now. We are back where we belong and we are staying there.

All of those teams have top half PL players. We maybe have 5 players of any PL quality. There's a monumental difference.

Lubo, that’s why I said we need at least four Premier League quality players.

We could sign four PL quality players and still have no players in Spurs' best XI. Had a bad season, but their first team is top 6 comfortably.
Reality is we are miles away from being as good as those teams. Will take a window of no misses if we want to bridge that gap first time around.

If West Ham lose Kudus & Paqueta as expected they look like the weakest squad by some distance. Could be a tough job for Potter next season

We would still not have any players as good as Bowen or Wan Bissaka, plus a couple others. Our best player last season just about makes their bench. The jump in quality is huge and suggesting we are pretty much already there is disingenuous.
