Gykores/Sesko options.

I would be keen to learn where you guys stand on this .
Arsenal has built an impressive dossier on Sesko but the word from the people ITK is that Berta prefers the Swede.

Gykores looks to be cheaper, is older and has scored a hatful of goals in an otherwise inferior league. He impressed me though in the champions league game against us and battered City in that same competition this season.

Sesko’s link-up player is better in my opinion, more two footed and has returned a decent amount of goals playing for a struggling side in a tougher league. He comes as more expensive but younger.

The way the debate has been framed is that Gykores is for the here and now ; Sesko a project signing.

He has not had a good record with frontmen purchases but I will go with Arteta on this one. The way we play, Sesko will score goals and make goals for others, enough in my opinion to challenge for the big gongs next season. He will only get better from there and has age on his side to achieve that ceiling.

N/B: Isak was not prolific in Spain.

Logical thing is sell Havertz who is well thought of in Germany and buy both.

No one will buy Havertz.

Or another option is to keep Havertz and give Sterling another year and wait for Gykores to become available at a lower price after the WC / Sesko to gain more experience

Both come with a risk. I just personally think the Slovenian is a more rounded player and for his age will be a better value for the circa £62 million it will take to get him out of Germany.
As said, I reckon our dossier for Sesko is fatter as we have monitored him for the better part of three years.
I will not complain if we get Gyokeres but believe Sesko will be the better fit and value long term.

Neither. The club should be doing whatever it takes to bring Isak. Every player has their price and Newcastle are a much smaller club than us. The club are at a stage in their project were a world class striker needs to come in. We're a big club, board needs to act like it.

If they fail to brink in Isak, then there's no reason to bring g in both Gyokeres and Sesko. Liverpool just threw €125 million on a player.

Newcastle have no reason to sell Isak except we offer them like150m pounds. The guy for now is unbuyable except he's run down his contract to the last year or he has a mediocre year next season. We're short on numbers in attack and can't spuunk it all on one player.

Why does Osimhen seem to have dropped off people's radar? He's just had a fairly relaxed season in Turkey, and you'd think Napoli might drop their asking price compared to where he was rated when he won the Scudetto there.

OP has it the wrong way round. Sesko is raw and doesn't link up well. Just compare the Expected Assists between the two! Gyokeres (7.44 - 94% percentile in his league) and Sesko (4.5 - 61% percentile in his league).

Sesko though has better physical skills, which maybe more effective in the Premier League. He has a more powerful shot, is taller, stronger and can jump higher.

Gyokeres is ready to go and more developed to replace Havertz.

Sesko still needs to improve linking, just look at the lack of accurate passing, Sesko (68% pass completion, with 574 passes attempted), Gyokeres 74% pass completion, 642 passes attempted). Havertz in comparison has 80% pass completion and we know he isn't all that good at passing.

So it all depends on how Arteta feels about Havertz. If Arteta thinks that Havertz is his starter he is more likely to go for Sesko to replace Jesus. But also within financial reason. Leipzig over reaching on Sesko's value, may push Berta/Arteta to say feck it and let Gyokeres and Havertz fight it out over the starting spot.

I personally feel Gyokeres is a better option and we need sell Havertz to buy two strikers. Maybe Delap and Gyokeres.

Fair point. They both have their strengths and I see you did not factor their heading prowess for which Sesko is way better.
I will take either of them, just feel with Gykores, we will be looking for another striker in three years as his physical based game wanes with age.
