25/26 season

So KO is the weekend of 16/17 August and the last game is 24th May 2026.

Fixtures are out on the 18th of this month.

The transfer window is open early due to the Club world Cup and will close 10/06 and reopen 16/06 until 01/09. I think that’s how I read it anyway.

I really wish they would close the window before the fixtures begin.

Come on Leeds!

This is one of those moments when JA has value.

When the likes of Lubo, Lorra, ADRITK, Macca, Promotion make valid, reasoned arguments. It makes me feel that I shouldn’t just jack JA in. There is some quality out there.

Go well all👍.

I don’t think Bamford will be leaving.

Expect Joseph to leave and we sign 1 striker.

Not the route I would go down. Joseph probably the one I would most like to keep.

Bijol a 25 yr old Slovenian CB from Udinese being touted as our first signing for about £16 million. Whether it's true of not we'll see and also whether it will or won't be put through the books until July 1st.

Was researching Jaka Bijol and had a small crisis that we are signing experienced players that are younger than me.

Looks like a decent profile of CB. Good in the air, decent passer out from the back. He's 6'2, so probably big enough, if not huge. Right-footed, so I'd imagine he'd be competing with Rodon, unless the plan is for a back three.

That said, all the reports suggest our priorities are GK, 10 and Striker, so I'd be surprised if our first move was for another CB, especially with a 16m fee reported.

If Solomon stays at Spurs we need to be signing a better LW than him anyway. Doubt Farke will trust Ramazani that much, given that he didn't reliably bring him on end of last season.

Lubo, Solomon improved continuously after he came back from injury and he was our star player in those last six games. I know this was the Championship, but he looked pure Premier League to me.

I'd be broadly speaking fine with us signing him if he was available and the price is right, but I don't want us setting our sights on him all summer and then not signing anyone. He was okay last year, although for me, too slow and one-note. Think thats fine when you're playing Championship RBs, but harder to gauge versus PL RBs. Need a winger with a bit more diversity in his locker, in my opinion. I have the same worry about James.

Reports I've seen suggest we can spend up to 20 mil and just be under the limit. So would make sense to use every penny's worth and free up this apparent signing from next seasons expenditure.

Bamford is apparently going to provide half-time entertainment with a regular acoustic set, possibly with Meslier on percussion.
