If we get Mbeumo over the line.
I'm useless at this, but others aren't so fire away.
How will our team look

I'll hopeful it will look something like this:
-------------------------New GK-----------
---------Maz-----------De Ligt---------Yoro
Amad/Dalot----Bruno------new CM--------Dorgu/Shaw
------------Amad/Mbeumo----------Cunha--------
---------------------------New CF--------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we have Bruno as one of a midfield two then we will lose more games than we win.
Bruno is not a CM player.

Exactly VC. It is what I had in my head, hence the OP.
It means either Cunha or Mbeumo can play their natural position. So how to fit them in.

Wharton looks excellent, but if we're planning to have Bruno in midfield, and especially if we want Mainoo to get minutes as a CM, they really need an Amadou Onana type player as a partner: someone who can run fast, a lot.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
People need to understand this. In a perfect world we need 2 but for Bruno in midfield, we need 1 and hope Ugarte settles down. I still like him a lot.

Bruno will move into Cunha/Mbeumo position at times if one of them is out, or if they are subbed, or if the CF is subbed and one of them go up the middle.
Mainoo will get plenty of game time imo, same as Mount (when fit).
Amorim is going to be using every sub in most games imo once we have more players that suit this system, he wants 100% intensity for 90 minutes.
It’s good that we are finally having 2 decent players fighting for the same positions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with this. And if we don't find a credible striker this window, there's a good chance Mbeumo or Cunha plays at 9, so there's a spot open behind.

Chelsea seemingly the most interested as of now. Caicedo + Mainoo has potential to be a PL title winning
midfield.

No creativity in that midfield. Not sure how that would be title winning.

Been saying this all week. Fans are getting excited by Mbuemo and Cunha and totally forgetting that Bruno isn't a particularly great CM.
Bruno at 10 I'm all for. I think he's world class in that role. In midfield I find the flaws in his game are exposed far more like against Spurs. He was unable to pass a ball 10 yards that night.
The Mbuemo signing is good on one hand but on the other it's backing Ruben into a corner with Fernandes.

I disagree. I have already seen Mainoo come up with huge attacking moments at a very young age. He's definitely a creative player.
No idea why you seem to have written him off. He's a bleeding kid. Had you even heard of Bruno Fernandes at Kobbie's age? I'm betting no.
Trust me if we sell him to Chelsea......we will massively regret it..

I’ve heard more solid rumours of Mainoo staying, being put on a specific training plan through the summer to work on his explosiveness and pace, and even rumours of a new contract than I have about him being sold to Chelsea.

Was it you or someone else who pointed out earlier that Scholes at this age wasn't getting that many games?
Personally, I think the system is more of a problem for Mainoo than Bruno. His qualities would be better utilised and his relative shortcomings less exposed in a three-man midfield. That's been an issue for a few of our talented players over the years (not least Pogba) when we've had a series of coaches who prefer using two CMs.

“Personally, I think the system is more of a problem for Mainoo than Bruno.”
It’s not even close.
I said when Amorim was announced that there was no natural role for him in an Amorimball side, and nothing I’ve seen since has changed my mind about that.

*************
Why do you then think he is world class if you cannot rely on him to pass 10 yards regularly from any position?
The numbers make it hard to accept what your eyes should be telling you. Bruno is not what we hoist up to be. We should not be building our team around Bruno to somehow get the best out of a "world class" player.
