Just wondering if Brentford might be one of the “established" PL clubs that might struggle now they’ve lost their manager? He’s also taken some back room staff and no doubt will be in for a couple of their best players.
Things change quickly in football.
Will Brentford struggle?

Wolves and West Ham are the ones I would be looking at right now. Wolves already lost their two best players. West Ham were dire last season, and will probably lose Kudus this summer. Brentford also vulnerable because imo Thomas Frank was probably their biggest asset. That said, they will get hefty fees for Mbeumo or Wissa if both those players go. Their recruitment is a bit hit and miss though.
I also think any of the group of teams that finished 8th through 12th could find themselves down there this season. Especially if Spurs and Man United pick themselves up. Bournemouth losing 2 of their 3 best players, Fulham might lose their manager and their squad doesn't look unassailable, Palace probably balancing league and European football. Forest and Everton also wouldn't surprise me.
As long as we and one of the other two promoted teams aren't quite as dreadful as the sides in the past two years have been, then I actually think it could be relatively competitive. It might just be cut and dry by March, though, so what do I know.

Morning all🌞.
It’s certainly going to be fascinating to watch.
Seems like the Jaka Bijol move is getting closer. If we get him, it seems a sensible move all round (price, age, experience) and would (presumably) be a good partnership with Rodon.
Probably more clickbait, but I see we’re being linked with Alex Moreno for LB, I guess in case Firpo does eventually leave. Personally, I’d rather keep Firpo (btw - he’s only 28 - thought he was early 30s … must have had a tough life😁).

Need 2 LB's, Firpo is leaving sadly
Good footballer but not good enough defensively in the PL, needs a formation tweak. But he's leaving so it's irrelevant.

If we are after Alex Moreno or Tsimikas like stories seem to suggest then we will be replacing Firpo with an attack first, defence second LB, so I don't see a formation tweak on the cards.

Looks like we've agreed personal terms with Bijol.
Initial fee we offered was knocked back. However,
we don't seem that far apart on what the number
needs to be. The more I hear and read about him
the more I want this done. He certainly put Kane
in his pocket last summer at International level.

Moreno is cheap and just might be a back up
However Farke loves signing right backs to play at left back sadly.

After reading Salonica's post/OP, I'm feeling way more
confident in what's about to happen. Think we might be
on the brink of building a solid squad.

There are plenty of PL teams that we can finish above
Many PL clubs must be feeling vulnerable
However they must be rather happy with the promotion of Burnley and Sunderland although that can change with good recruitment.

Too bad Ange isn't still at Tottenham. He would prioritize a lost cause in the CL and they'd have a repeat of last year. Frank won't let that happen probably.
Man utd could easily get it all wrong again also.

If Man United and Tottenham are the teams above the relegation zone again this year then we will have gone down.
