Some chatter around this am about Mbeumo coming to Spurs with Thomas Frank now in place..... Personally, would love us to sign him... I think he's more productive than Kulu, who I personally prefer playing more centrally
He also can play as a striker (either in a pair or on his own)
Worth noting Frank tried to sign BJ when he was at Forest... I don't think it would be a case of BM replacing but BJ but an opportunity for BJ to play on the left...... If you look at BJ, I often think he's more of a goal threat (pace to get to the back post or cutting inside and shooting than he is as an actual provider (His final ball is pretty poor most of the time). He could defo split time with Son as an option on the left.
Hopefully signing MB would see Tel option not executed, I'd rather keep Odobert as the young, wide back up option.
Also, I'm pretty sure Brentford were very close to signing Gray before we jumped in so would like to see him get more game time in MF. Obviously Frank isnt gonna be quite so wide open (esp in MF as Ange was in the PL) and with a slightly deeper line, FBs holding their positions a bit more, we might just give Gray and Bergvall a good platform to develop as a CM pair.
We know Frank is flexible re formations but looking at how well Damsgard played in his 4231 I'd hope he can get a lot more outta Kulu & Madders playing as the 10.
Finally.... If we do sign BM, I doubt we are going after Eze.... If that is the case.... Id offer Palace a big bag of cash for Guehi if Cuti is off to Madrid
Call it roughly 150mln quid spent if we take the Option on Cardoso & Buy Mbeumo & Guehi
