P2020 you are forgetting about agents, most xfers do not happen unless they get their huge piece of meat

As much as I have no love for the likes of the Kings Roads 'fancy dans', I don't blame the super rich clubs.
FFP/PSR was brought in after the horse had bolted. The Professional football authorities are always several steps behind like Police and thieves and all it appears to be doing, is ring fencing the big 6 power.
For Leeds to be shackled to the level we are this season, when logically it's clear that the one club city and global support will see it ok, seems at best disingenuous.

Spot on Wilko about after the horse had bolted but what is the solution?

...£64,000 question, I have no idea but I know that a good solution won't come from the EPL or EFL - totally incompetent entities.

Solution is a salary cap. Along with PSR.
Eventually PSR will start to limit salaries as it's not sustainable to have a wage bill at 90% of turnover and keep selling assets to stay within the limits.
But as Premier League clubs keep voting against closing loopholes this will take too long.
I believe there will be a salary cap linked to turnover implemented gradually in a year or 2.
High transfer fees are not a problem for me. I would much prefer to see massive transfer fees where smaller clubs have the chance to benefit and incentive to invest in their academy, rather than massive salaries that will never spread the wealth in the game or create opportunities for smaller clubs to progress.

.....along with agents fees, otherwise it will all go underground again just like arry, graham, aladice etc...allegedly, if rumours are to be believed.

Salary cap can only work if all the leagues in Europe are doing it. Or else the pl will be too weak to compete.

Yeah which is why it hasn’t happened yet despite being the solution.
FIFA need to start being a positive for football and implement it rather than lining their own pockets.

Wages are the biggest problem but capping them at a percentage of income makes it even harder for Bournemouth Brentford etc etc etc etc
I would like a fairer PL
