FFS he is a Jorginho replacement, who started 8 league matches last season. Zubimendi is the Partey replacement.

We still need a top LW and a top ST. We need to be clever in how we spend money.

an upgrade on Jorginho for sure. Partey deserves to play every week and not worth a wage hike to be a squad player

Very sensible signing, IMO.

Absolutely brilliant reader of the game and at breaking play up, and the kind of reliable cover you want behind Rice and Odegaard to let them focus on causing problems up the pitch.

The kind of cover which will mean you can take Zubimendi out for games against weaker/deep lying opposition.

Good cover player, zubi takes parteys place right?

He's not Partey's replacement Zubimendi is. He will replace Jorginho, decent signing to add cover and experience.

Funny how the Atetasexuals are desperately talking up this signing as a stroke of genius. If he's such a great signing before he's kicked a ball for us then why was no one mentioning him before as someone they wanted us to replace Jorginho with?

He's a premier league player so there can't be any excuses about not knowing who he is if you're only now talking him up - only the people on the fence about him can get away with that.

Arteta wanted someone with Premier League experience backing up Zubimendi. Partey wants to start and more importantly starting wages. So tell me what choice do Arsenal have RGK?
